Universal Credit’s latest stats are wild. Universal credit isn’t a jobseeker benefit anymore, it’s a low income + long term health system.
7.9m people now on UC (record high)
Biggest group = no work requirements (health)
34% of claimants are working
58% are women
83.6% are UK/Irish/right of abode
Half of UC households have kids
@BTOofficial Good morning honorable minister. Please sir, you need to visit the Nigeria embassy and immigration office at Atlanta Georgia. The staff there are trying to rubbish your good job as they are making people pay $709 to renew passports. Thank you sir for your attention
Imagine having to work for exploitative employers for 15 years? That’s the reality for migrant care workers under @ShabanaMahmood's new rules.
It’s a recipe for exploitation and abuse.

No new teaching hospital built, now new university built, all federal roads are in a state of disrepair, insecurity continues to rise, agriculture sector dying due to imports, federal contractors havent been paid since 2024.
Yet Tinubu is asking to borrow another 6 billion dollars.
Are we jinxed or under a spell?😭☹️

One best thing that happened to being able to obtain Nigerian Passport was the ability to apply and complete self biometric enrolment online (for renewals) without having to visit the embassy. Unfortunately, the app and the process has been lagging for weeks/months. Going to the embassy for this is sadly disheartening. For instance, the next appointment at @Nigerialondon for capturing is August/September, meaning someone couldn’t do anything that involves using a passport for the next 6 months. @BTOofficial as one of your best achievements in office, I hope you direct the agency to rectify this situation as soon as possible. @ARISEtv@channelstv@NGRSenate@MinOfInteriorNG@officialABAT@atiku@PeterObi
The changes to Settlement Rights will hurt all of us.
The value of our economy isn’t in bankers or billionaires.
It’s workers, wherever they're from, who keep Britain moving.
Our Government shouldn't break it's promises to those working hard & contributing to our country.
President Tinubu was welcome by Nigerians in UK, who are singing the "On Your Mandate" anthem.
I only have one question for these rented idiots, who skipped their shifts for this show of shame,
If his mandate was so glorious,
What are you doing in uk???
@Oluomoofderby I would like to suggest we collectively bring this concerns to the attention of the Minister @BTOofficial. People said he is proactive ?
@BTOofficial@BTOofficial These are are just a handful of the horrendous treatment Nigerians in the UK are experiencing after paying a huge amount of money for contactless service to renew their passport. Kindly intervene. Things weren't this bad b4 now.
@Oluomoofderby@BTOofficial kindly intervene in the crisis currently experienced by Nigerians in the UK on passport renewal. People said they haven't heard back since December...that's 3 months! Appears things weren't like this couple of months ago.
