we romanticized being detached because admitting "l really fucking love you and losing you would hurt me" requires a type of gangster this generation doesn't respect enough
You cannot keep sacrificing your own feelings to maintain relationships with people who never sacrifice their behaviour to maintain a relationship with you.
Caring for someone and showing up for them any time they need you, going above and beyond to make them happy, just for them to turn on you for the smallest thing ever is such a humbling experience
i think it's actually normal to express gratitude towards your friends for spending time with you. in fact, i would go as far as to say that you should be thankful for the time people give you
When someone brings up their pain towards you because of something you had done; they wish to feel understood, they wish to feel listened to. It's not an attack on your character or them trying to hurt you, it's them trusting you enough to share a pain that they felt from you.

depression sucks because what do you mean I'm on my favorite game just staring blankly at the menu incapable of fully enjoying what I loved this morning
This is tough. It’s not the outcome that any of us had hoped for. I’ve been playing fighting games for over 30 years, made so many amazing friends along the way and have been lucky to experience some unbelievable moments across many legendary titles. I dreamed of one day creating something special for the FGC to help enable even more of those moments. I wanted to give back to the community that had given me so much.
2XKO is the culmination of that dream. This is a dream shared by every member of our team. The amount of love and passion everyone who has ever worked on this game has put into it is unreal. The team delivered a fighting game where you could fight against your friends or choose to take on the world together alongside them. They delivered and elevated League of Legends champions in ways that only a fighting game could.
We made a called shot when 2XKO was born as a mixed mode solo/duo game that if two of the top 8 slots of Evo were Duos, then we have achieved our goal of making playing with a friend a competitively viable endeavor in fighting games. The Evo crowd was treated with the first 2XKO top 8 match on finals day being a duo vs duo match sending one team home and deciding who is the strongest duo. This was unbelievably special for the team.
Even though we are ending active development at the end of the year, I am glad that folks will be able to play 2XKO beyond that, and that the love poured into it will live on. The team is giving everything they’ve got to deliver a final version of 2XKO to you that everyone can be proud of. We can’t wait for you to play Lux and Samira, so please look forward to them.
Thank you to everyone who has worked on 2XKO for creating a really special game, and thank you to all of the players who created moments we will never forget.
bro riot is inane
It feels like mark marrell has the company in a chokehold where if their game doesn’t make 1 billion dollars instantly he shuts it down
No community building, no thought of making a beautiful game just pure profit or die
