Pendant dix mille ans, l'humanité a vécu sous une malédiction que personne n'osait nommer. Aujourd'hui, sous nos yeux, elle est en train de se briser.

Au commencement, il n'y avait pas assez. Pas assez de terre, pas assez de pain, pas assez de tout. C'est la plus vieille histoire du monde, et c'est elle qui a façonné chacune de nos institutions, chacune de nos peurs, chacune de nos guerres.

"À la sueur de ton front tu mangeras ton pain." Voilà le verset qui a gouverné l'espèce humaine. Un monde où ce que je gagne, tu le perds. Un monde à somme nulle, où la prospérité de l'un est forcément le vol de l'autre.

Et dans ce monde-là, des prophètes se sont levés. Ils ont promis le salut, mais un salut très particulier : non pas créer davantage, mais redistribuer ce qui existe déjà. Ils ont bâti des temples entiers sur le ressentiment. Ils ont fait de l'envie une vertu et de la réussite un péché.

Le plus terrible, c'est qu'ils n'avaient pas tort. Dans un jeu à somme nulle, leur logique tenait. Si le gâteau est fixe, alors oui, chaque part en plus pour toi est une part en moins pour moi. C'est pour cela qu'ils ont réussi à verrouiller le système pendant des générations. Leur récit collait à la réalité d'un monde de rareté.

Mais une chose leur a échappé. Une chose qu'aucun prophète de la pénurie n'avait vue venir.

Le gâteau n'est pas fixe.

L'énergie, la connaissance, la technologie, l'entrepreneuriat : voilà les vraies sources de l'abondance. L'homme n'est pas condamné à se partager un stock figé. Il est capable de créer de la valeur à partir de rien, de transformer le sable en puces, le vide en orbites, l'idée en empire. Chaque grande invention a démenti la malédiction de la rareté.

Et c'est maintenant que le voile se déchire. Tout le monde, même ceux qui en doutaient, commence à le réaliser : le futur ne se construira pas sur le partage du ressentiment, mais sur la vérité et sur le maximum de liberté individuelle laissée à chacun pour bâtir.

La recette de l'abondance n'a jamais été aussi limpide. Laisser faire les entrepreneurs. Ce sont eux qui multiplient les pains. Ce sont eux qui transforment l'énergie brute en monde habitable. Et plus on les libère, plus la table s'agrandit.

Voilà la bonne nouvelle, la vraie : tout le monde aura sa part. Non pas parce qu'on aura mieux découpé les miettes, mais parce que le gâteau, lui, sera devenu infini. On ne se bat plus pour des restes, on dresse une table sans fin.

Les prophètes de la pénurie continueront de s'agiter. C'est leur nature, et leur fonds de commerce. Mais l'histoire ne s'écrit plus avec eux. Elle s'écrit avec les porteurs des libertés individuelles et économiques. Elon Musk pour l'entrepreneuriat, Milei pour la politique. Des hommes qui, chacun à sa manière, conduisent l'humanité hors de la servitude de la rareté.

Nous sommes à la lisière de la terre promise. Pas une promesse de prophète, mais une promesse de bâtisseurs.

Le futur va être génial. Et le plus vertigineux, c'est qu'on ne change pas de gouvernement, ni même d'époque.

On change de type de civilisation.
