A new SpareFoot survey of nearly 1,000 Gen Z adults and young millennials found that 58% who moved away from home later returned, including 15% who did so multiple times. The trend is most pronounced in expensive states like New Jersey, Connecticut, and California, where the share of adults ages 18 to 34 living with parents tops 39%.
