@lisa_bonang @matt_vaughan @TrevorJain 4. There are interim measures to improve access to inpatient care that were not part of the recent short term govt interventions, 5. There are patients in need of care, lack of inpatient bed access and resulting poor outcomes outside HRM.

@lisa_bonang @matt_vaughan @TrevorJain 1. QEII redevelopment has recently stalled so I’ll believe it when I see it (hopefully in my lifetime). 2. We need improved access to inpatient beds in 6 days not 6 years. 3. Any short term measures that do not directly improve access to existing inpatient beds are inadequate.

@lisa_bonang @matt_vaughan @TrevorJain Primary care is equally as concerning and equally (if not more) important, but trying to address primary care deficiencies in the ED neither recognizes the critical nature of continuity of care in the community, nor does it prevent the tragedies in the ED that have us talking.
