De presentatrice vroeg niet: "Bent u niet bang dat veel Nederlanders, hoewel meestal van goede wil, dit als onrechtvaardig zullen beschouwen en vindt u niet dat de oplossing moet zijn: die noodopvang op orde maken?" A Muslim told me: “I used to be a Christian, but I left Christianity recently and joined Islam. Islam is the true religion.”

I said, “Okay. What exactly made you leave Christianity?”

He said, “God cannot be three. God is one. The Bible even says so. Paul changed the doctrine and said God is three.”

I asked, “Who told you that?”

He said, “I know it. I’ve read the Bible. I didn’t see anywhere Jesus said God is three.”

I said, “Exactly. You didn’t see it because Christians DON’T believe God is three. If you had actually understood what you were reading, you wouldn’t even be making that argument.”

Then he hit me with: “I’ve read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation.”

I said, “Okay…”

Then he told me that after reading the Quran, something suddenly clicked and he immediately knew it was the Word of God.

I said, “Good for you. How long have you been Muslim?”

He said, “Six months.”

I said, “Okay. Do you know if you’re going to Paradise?”

He said, “Well, I’m not Allah. Only Allah knows. Insha’Allah, He will have mercy on me.”

Then I asked, “Were you ever a born-again Christian?”

He said, “Errr… what do you mean?”

I said, “Wait. You just told me you read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and you don’t know what ‘born again��� means?”

Suddenly he started buffering. 😂

He said, “Errr… Paul came up with that. How can you be born again?”

I said, “Brother, you didn’t read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation.

Jesus Himself introduced the teaching of being born again in John 3. Not Paul.”

I explained that being born again isn’t about physically entering your mother’s womb again. It refers to spiritual rebirth, moving beyond merely being called a Christian or being born into a Christian family, and becoming genuinely surrendered to Christ and transformed by Him.

He said, “Interesting… I didn’t know this.”

I said, “That’s exactly my point. Before declaring that Paul invented Christianity, maybe actually check what Jesus said.”

Then I asked him about destiny and divine decree in Islam.

I asked, “Do you know that in Islam your fate is already written? Allah has already decided, and there is nothing you can do to change what was written for you.”

He said, “No, that is not true. Show me and stop making stuff up.”

I said, “Gladly.”

I showed him “Sahih al-Bukhari 7454. Authentic hadith. Muhammad said that while a person is still in the womb, an angel is ordered to write four things: their livelihood, lifespan, deeds, and whether they will ultimately be wretched or blessed.

Then the same hadith says a person may do the deeds of the people of Paradise until he is only a cubit away from it, ‘but then what has been written for him decides his behavior,’ and he starts doing the deeds of the people of Hell and enters Hell.”

I added, “Sahih Muslim 2647a is even clearer. Muhammad said: ‘There is not one amongst you whom a seat in Paradise or Hell has not been allotted, and about whom it has not been written whether he would be an evil person or a blessed person.’

The companions asked why they should still do good deeds if their destiny was already written. Muhammad said they should still do them, because everyone’s deeds will be made easy toward what they were created for.

So how are you sure you were not created for Hell?”

That one hit differently.

He said he was not aware of this. He would look into it and ask questions.

I said, “If you go asking questions in the mosque, they will lie to you. Do your own research. Use your brain. Ask God Himself to help you understand.

It is not only the Hadith. The Quran itself says human choice depends on Allah entirely. I can show you that too.

You joined Islam in ignorance. You were lied to.

Christians worship one God, not three. The concept of God is just not the same as Islam’s. I can explain it to you if you are willing to learn.”

He was shocked and said, “Let me go and make enquiry on this first.”
