JMU punter Patrick Rea is looking to make an impact off the field this season.
I have to give a massive thanks to Pat for sitting down with me yesterday to talk about his support of the RCD Foundation and his sister Pippa.
Grateful to be able to share this article in the next couple of days.
This season, I'm proud to be supporting the Robert Connor Dawes (RCD) Foundation by donating $100 for every punt we down inside the 20-yard line.
This cause is deeply personal to me. In 2015, I lost my younger sister, Pippa, at 11 years old to childhood brain cancer (DIPG).
She continues to inspire me every day.
The RCD Foundation supports families affected by childhood brain cancer and funds critical research in both Australia and the United States. I'm honored to use football as a way to help make a difference for other families facing this battle.
If you'd like to support or hear more about the cause, you can donate through the link in my bio or visit https://t.co/IO2pNZo6fm

@vacollegegop As a member of the JMU Board of Visitors, I can tell you this is fake news. The Administration is currently in discussing with student organizations to provide logistical support.
