How did the teacher feel about the lesson? What pleased her, what would he do differently? "What did you learn?" is the best question to ask in a post-observation conference.
Effective principals are good listeners. The key to a productive post-observation conference is the questions that are asked, not the strategies that are shared.
Principals can create a school culture in which everyone grows and cares for one another. Make time for collegiality and fun, and don't have a designated parking space for the principal.
