‼️URGENT APPEAL‼️

We recently lost a small pekinese pup, Yoko who we rescued after she was dumped in the pound.

We decided to help another dog in her memory and have just been sent these 2 small ones.

We have some funds left over after paying her vet bills so these funds have been put towards saving these 2 new dogs ☺️

One appears to be injured and they are quite small so won’t survive unless we help them.

I know Christmas is fast approaching and our appeals for help sadly have not slowed down but it’s such a critical time for getting dogs off the streets as the the winter is so harsh for the dogs without food and shelter 💔💔❤️‍🩹

MY NAME WAS PEN. I DIED HAPPY, BUT...🥺🥺

I died today!! I hope you will dedicate 5 minutes to read my story so that it is not in vain.

I arrived at the shelter when I was 3 months old and they called me Stylo (at least I had a name, however strange it was for a dog!). It was a "normal" (and therefore overloaded) shelter in the center-north of Italy, and there I waited for someone to see me...

I waited, waited, waited... I waited 13 long years!!! Of course, I wasn't alone in the box and my fellow prisoners weren't gentle: I was often bitten and more than once, I almost died because they wouldn't let me eat, but I resisted..

And then finally, an angel named Monica noticed me! She decided to get me out of there and give me a few months of happiness. She entrusted me to her friends Sandra and Silvana who took care of me!

I was skinny and all twisted with osteoarthritis... I remember that when I arrived at their house, it was winter and they had prepared a soft bed for me in front of the wood stove... I didn't know what a home was and that warmth, oh my, what happiness! I spent 2 days with my back glued to the warmth, it was paradise for me!!

Despite all the predictions that I would die quickly, I recovered. Yes, no one would have believed that I would live for almost 3 more years! And during these 3 years, I was loved and pampered, I had good food, I slept warmly... but old age cannot stop!!

Now I am dead, but I died HAPPY, because someone gave me hope and a few years of happiness, but I can't help but think that if Monica had not saved me, there would be nothing left of me now, not a photo, not a memory, no one would mourn my death! And this is unfortunately the fate that affects so many dogs who spend their entire lives in a shelter, in general indifference.

So before you give birth to new dogs, think of me!

And before you buy a dog, think of me!! A single day of happiness can redeem a lifetime of suffering, so if you can, get an old dog out of a shelter!💔

Our gorgeous Buddy, who we rescued from the chain, is now the most handsome soppy boy🥰

He is definitely smiling and has put his awful chain life behind him.
