All in all the Syrian “revolutionary” groups were vastly non Muslim

They can be comparable to the typical “Muslim” state armies worldwide

But interestingly unlike in the majority of other regions where the army class do no represent majority of the people

But vast vast majority of the foreign fighters (upwards of 90%) who were opposed to the Syrian path are either dead, imprisoned or in hiding

What’s left of the foreign fighters are not highly ideologically motivated transnational travellers
