@HSJEditor@Davewwest@NHSEngland It is a welcome article. Age UK have been ringing the bell on this for a number of years, including in advance of the 2023 Autumn statement. https://t.co/nzrXOXFJSr

Older people are too often overlooked and excluded from mental health support.
Leading voice @CentreforMH believes that #MentalHealth in later life has been on the margins of policy and practice in England for decades.
Read more in our new joint report 👇
Mental health in later life is overlooked and poorly supported because of systemic ageism across health and care, and society as a whole. We can change this with action both nationally and locally to ensure equitable support is offered at all ages https://t.co/jdb0U5XnKV
Our work with @age_uk finds that older people face barriers to mental health support at every level: from being disregarded by services to being overlooked by mental health strategies: https://t.co/YGvfYg1c8Q

@bppulseuk Why do they have two sockets? And allow you to attempt a charge on the second socket? Why does the app say "available"? This is still ignoring the fact that I've never successfully charged on any of your units. When you have a near monopoly in an area, this is a massive problem.
@bppulseuk I have had credit on my account for months and have yet to find a working charge point. Now causing me big problems given there's virtually no alternative for miles around. Helpline very polite but no help at all.
@bppulseuk Yes have attempted that almost everytime. The operators could do nothing. What they did admit was that some of your ports may not operate with two cars attached. Not that that was ever the issue for me.
We're recruiting for a Policy Manager, working across NHS and social care. We're looking for someone that can take a lead on major policy issues with a focus on evidence and improving the lives of older people. https://t.co/PVqqp7Eq8w
I’ve spent the morning arranging enhanced security at my home & reporting another incident of concern to police. Unfounded allegations & calls to arms on twitter have consequences & I hope politicians from all parties will bear this in mind
Saw a thing on the internet and decided to try it too.
This is what you get when you google ‘school boy’ and then ‘school girl’.
This is why we talk about the blatant objectification and sexualisation of girls. This is why we focus on the oppression and abuse of girls.
