@NewmanSylvie@pauldixtweets when the adults change and @Strickomaster they donβt behave for me - both have great practical examples for school based practice. My two top reads of the year by a mile
I was asked to present to all school head teachers and leaders in Carmarthenshire today.I was able to discuss the relentless work and amazing results myself and my awesome team are achieving in our behaviour roles at our school.Hard work pays offπ€π#tisuk#behaviour#restorative
@Strickomaster I personally found the sharp and preciseness of what was written and how it was backed up with relevant scenarios was the reason why it helped me to view it in a different light. Canβt please them all fella!
@Strickomaster A book that all SLT, BEHAVIOUR LEADS, NQT AND PGCE professionals should read. I was sceptical about the views and approaches which led me to purchase the book. The review speaks for itself 10/10ππΌ
A thank you from a pupil who turned up at the start of the year, expelled from previous school, unable to form relationships, completely disengaged. βThanks for listening and understanding where Iβm coming fromβ Itβs a huge win.
@Strickomaster I would argue this and say itβs relationships. Iβm trying to come away from a behaviour policy in our school and move to a relationship one. In my experience I have found that to bring about a change in behaviour we first need to start with forming relationships
Good morning all! A quick question - DO INTERNAL EXCLUSION ROOMS WORK IN SCHOOLS? Iβd love to get your views and throughts on this.Relationships are key to change - can this change take place in these environments? Any feed back would be hugely appreciated.ππΌ#exclusion#inclusion
This is a long shot BUT - Iβm looking to find some alternative/pioneering secondary school provision around behaviour and well-being in the uk. Restorative, trauma Informed or something radical. Anyone have any suggestions? ππΌ #restorative#traumainformed#secondary#school#help
@EdgeNorthfield@Lilias_Jeffery@arwenkc_SALT Iβve looked at what youβre doing and itβs amazing! Iβd love to pay a visit if possible! Iβll send you a quick email tomorrow and see where we can go?
@JohnBaldLangLit@PieCorbett @Strickomaster Also I acknowledge thatβs TiS isnβt the be all and end all. Iβm trying to seek out some pioneering schools around behaviour and well-being to further educate myself and experience.
@JohnBaldLangLit@PieCorbett @Strickomaster Do you think so? I think his advice is in line to a degree with Trauma informed schools but agree that many teachers arrive to the destination quickly. Personally relationships and rapport bring about best results. I appreciate your view
