Great leaders decide PRIOR to any challenge (personal or professional) to engage body, mind, and spirit in EVERY moment of that project. Total immersion.
SCHOOL LEADERS
Many support staff are demoralized. I know b/c I conduct focus groups w/them. Before yr. ends, meet w/staff, ask ?s, take notes, dialogue. Address issues BEST you can when school starts 25-26 SY. Shows commitment to staff performance/morale. They really matter!

What should we do about ‘instability’ in our world? Get obsessed w/pursuing YOUR purpose/vision for living & serve others. Know what is happening in the world. But run YOUR race. You’re on the earth for a reason. Find it, write down, get it in your heart, mind, spirit. LIVE IT!
Schools should be places of total IMMERSION in optimism, mental toughness, grit, intellectual rigor and character — where hallways promote messages that remind students every day of their potential, to dream big, serve others, and persevere!
Too many leaders have mastered the art of deflection — shifting blame to others. Yes, ‘others’ often play a role in the issues facing organizations. But have you ever noticed the respect you develop in the leader who flat out OWNS a problem and strives to FIX it?!
Our results - in finances, health, relations, accomplishments - are reflection of who we are on inside. Chaotic life reflects unsettled spirit or scattered mind. Focus on process. Develop self. ‘If ask me to chop down tree in 6 hrs., I’ll take first 4 hrs to sharpen saw.’ Lincoln
‘Ask NOT what your country can do for you. Ask what YOU can do for your country.’ Still rings true, especially for those fortunate enough to be in a place/position in life to truly carry out these words.
LEADERS
