With $300 billion, we could end homelessness, fund cancer research for 40 years, and give every child free pre-K for over 7 years. Instead, Trump is sending it to Iran. This is not America First. Not even close.
This is so insanely corrupt, I can’t even believe it.
More than half the donors to Trump’s $400 million White House ballroom just won over $50 billion in new federal contracts in six months.
And here’s the part that should make your blood boil.
Sixteen of these 27 donors were facing federal enforcement actions, antitrust reviews, labor cases, securities charges. Many of those cases have been quietly dropped or scaled back since Trump took office. You write a check, your legal problems disappear. That’s not a coincidence.
The White House won’t even release the full donor list. They’re hiding it on purpose, because daylight is the one thing pay-to-play can’t survive. A federal judge already ruled ballroom construction has to stop until Congress authorizes it.
Government is supposed to serve the people, not auction itself off to the highest bidder. When access goes to whoever pays the most, working families always end up paying the price.
We either end the corruption, or the corruption will end us.

Starting this month, more than 900 deep-sea ocean sensors will be pulled out of the Pacific and Atlantic oceans off the coast of Washington, Oregon, Alaska, North Carolina and Greenland. https://t.co/jmm86WQNcY
President Trump has no public events on his schedule again today. That means it has now been one week since he has appeared publicly for anything besides a pre-taped interview. His last public event was his cabinet meeting last Wednesday, one day after his trip to Walter Reed.
@DrunkRepub Trump isn’t talking to anyone. Just making shit up day to day. Waiting for Bibi to say it’s ok to end this “war” or the American economy implodes.
No snark, I genuinely don’t get it. Trump is one of the least masculine, most juvenile public figures out there. He’s needy, whiny, defensive, terrified of strong women, and visibly intimidated by powerful men.
How does his base spin this into the ultimate “strongman” image?
🚨HEAD’S UP, NC🚨
Why are power bills going up? I can tell you why in NC.
Duke asked the North Carolina Utilities Commission to approve an increase to customer’s costs by 15% over the next two years.
But why?
Try this on for size: Duke Energy has a net profit of $5B! Yet they expect us to pay for a new fleet, diversified portfolios, coal ash cleanup, solar panels, and a storm reserve.
That’s right. The increase in our cost isn’t for better service. It’s so that they can keep up their profit margins AND expand to rake in even more of our hard earned dollars.
Why are we subsidizing a company’s growth and funding their capital investments?
And is the NCUC going to approve this pay increase?

That's a sharp plunge.
It underscores how squeezed Americans are right now with higher prices and incomes not keeping up.
Maybe you can explain some of this away by Baby Boomers retiring, but not all of it.
