Andy Burnham's pledge to be 'for all of us' may include hiring a man for his Downing Street staff who called 9/11 a 'false flag' that the US 'knew of… in advance', made jibes against Jews, defended an advocacy group that called Jihadi John a 'beautiful young man', and said that exposés of the child grooming scandals were a 'racist campaign'.

Ali Milani, chair of the Labour Muslim Network, has been working closely with Burnham in the run-up to his election as Makerfield MP and Labour leader, helping with his social media, and has been repeatedly spoken of as an expected hire in No. 10's digital communications team.

What hasn't been reported in the coverage of Milani's potential new job is his views.

51 Sponsorships in 2023-2024. 17 chefs! SEVENTEEN! The business is an eclectic mix of activities, as you might expect:

10840 - Manufacture of condiments and seasonings
10850 - Manufacture of prepared meals and dishes
56210 - Event catering activities
90020 - Support activities to performing arts

Despite all the chefs (and the baffling array of other creative professionals), the address does not appear on the Food Hygiene Ratings so either operates unlawfully as it has never been inspected or doesn't operate at all (in which case how did it get to sponsor 17 chefs and 2 bakers etc.)

Average employees in the year 2023 when the sponsorship wave started was 2. The company sponsored 19 staff. They then grew to 10 and sponsored another 17 staff. What are they all doing? Where are they?

Even _IF_ the staff were legitimately working at this dilapidated first floor flat, the 2024 accounts should show 2 + 19 staff, so 21. It shows 10. The very latest accounts show 12 staff, after sponsoring 51 visas in 2023-2024 and starting with 2 staff, they should be at 50+ staff.

What are we doing here?

Meet "WALHAM LIMITED T/a Jahangir Balti & Tandoori Restaurant", our first foray in to Scotland! This is a busy curry house undergoing explosive growth no doubt, as their staff had been stable for 5 years at about 20 staff until it sponsored 42 "skilled workers" in 2024/2025. Their 2025 accounts show 20 employees still.

Where are they? Why did a curry house which had been doing well on 20 staff for half a decade need to sponsor 10+ chefs and 30 other roles suddenly? The restaurant is the same size ...

They are still A-rated on the latest sponsor list.
