Today, I represented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) at the commissioning of the Akwanga Underpass and road project, as well as the flag-off of Section I of the Akwanga–Kaduna–Jos segment of the 700-kilometre Akwanga–Bauchi–Gombe–Biu–Maiduguri Superhighway—another landmark legacy project under the Renewed Hope Agenda. It was a great honour to stand in for Mr. President on such a historic occasion. The massive turnout and warm reception from the people of Nasarawa State clearly demonstrated their overwhelming support for President Tinubu and their appreciation of his commitment to their development. It is evident that the President holds the people of Nasarawa dear and remains committed to improving their quality of life.
I expressed the President's gratitude to the people of Nasarawa State and indeed all Nigerians for their patience, support and belief in the ongoing reforms. These reforms are already yielding measurable results. Today, states receive significantly higher allocations than they did before, enabling them to meet critical obligations. In 2023, about 30 out of the 36 states struggled to pay salaries and gratuities. That is no longer the situation. Across the federation, roads, bridges, schools, markets and other critical infrastructure are being constructed to stimulate economic growth and improve the lives of Nigerians.
President Tinubu has consistently demonstrated that bold reforms produce lasting results. He transformed Lagos through visionary leadership, reclaimed land from the Atlantic, modernised the tax administration system and laid the foundation for sustainable economic growth. Today, he is replicating that same vision on a national scale. From the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway to the Sokoto-Badagry Superhighway, the Akwanga-Maiduguri Superhighway and the Trans-Sahara Trade Route, Nigeria is witnessing the most ambitious road infrastructure programme in its history. The construction of five new seaports and the expansion of rail infrastructure, including the rail corridor to Maradi, will strengthen regional trade, reduce transportation costs, create jobs and position Nigeria as the commercial hub of West Africa.
I also commended the Governor of Nasarawa State for providing an atmosphere where people of different ethnic backgrounds coexist peacefully and contribute meaningfully to the development of the state. I equally appreciated our revered traditional rulers for their invaluable role in promoting peace and securing our communities. As the National Assembly continues work on the State Police Bill, I encouraged state governments to support its speedy implementation as part of the broader effort to strengthen security across the country.
The Renewed Hope Agenda is about building a stronger, safer and more prosperous Nigeria where every citizen can realise his or her potential. These legacy projects are not just roads; they are pathways to economic prosperity, national unity and shared progress. I pray that God Almighty grants President Bola Ahmed Tinubu good health, wisdom and long life to continue this important work of nation-building and to consolidate the gains of his transformational leadership for the benefit of all Nigerians.
The reason I relate well with people of all classes and financial background is that, I've since understood that money is just a tool. It does not represent or define our humanity. I figured this out as a child. It is not late for you to come to terms.
Everyone has their reason for wanting to be rich. I'm a simple man. I just want to leave a legacy of giving people a better life than the one they had before I met them - with primary focus on education and health care.
If I make the kind of money I'm looking for, I'll add foreign masters to it. Good education is the only way to create a mental shift, give dignity to people, give people options, and a chance to compete for their place in this world. A perfect weapon to build a country
Today, I toured Hon Leondard Dilkon’s state-of-the-art factory — a gold mine waiting to be explored. With the right partnerships, this facility can create thousands of jobs for the good people of Plateau State, driving growth, innovation, and shared prosperity for our communities
Nigeria's youthful population, expanding technology ecosystem, and thriving culture of innovation remain some of our nation's greatest assets in attracting global investment and driving sustainable development.
As I stated during my keynote address at the 15th West Africa Convergence Conference (WACC 2026), technology will continue to play a central role in building a more prosperous, inclusive, and globally competitive Nigeria. Together, we must continue to invest in innovation, empower our young people, and create the digital future our nation deserves.
Earlier today, I attended the 15th West Africa Convergence Conference (WACC 2026) and the 50 Most Influential Figures in Nigeria's Digital Economy Recognition Ceremony in Lagos.
The conference provided a valuable platform for discussions on how technology can accelerate economic growth, strengthen governance, create jobs, attract investment, and position Nigeria as Africa's digital powerhouse.
A key message from the event was that Nigeria's journey towards a $1 trillion economy will be driven not only by economic reforms and infrastructure development, but also by strategic investments in digital infrastructure, artificial intelligence, fintech, broadband connectivity, and digital literacy.
The conversations highlighted the immense potential of Nigeria's youthful population, growing technology ecosystem, and thriving innovation culture, which continue to attract global attention and investor confidence.
As we look to the future, it is clear that technology will remain central to building a more prosperous, inclusive, and globally competitive Nigeria.
Today, I proudly received my Certificate of Return as the PDP Governorship Candidate for Plateau State, in the company of our Chairman, Abdulrahman Mohammed; National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu; Distinguished Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan; & other candidates under the PDP
Today in Gombe State, I had the honour of commissioning the Kwadon–Kuni–Jada–Gonin Bukar–Laleko Road, commissioning the NALDA Vegetable Market in Kwadon, and presenting APC flags to our candidates for the 2026 LGA and LCDA elections.
These engagements underscore our commitment to infrastructure development, agricultural transformation, economic empowerment, and grassroots democracy. The impressive turnout at the APC Grand Rally reflects the growing confidence of the people in our party and the Renewed Hope Agenda.
I commend Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, the leadership of NALDA, and our dedicated party faithful for their contributions to building a stronger, more prosperous Gombe State. Together, we will continue delivering results and advancing the progress of our nation.
I represented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, at the Flag-Off of the Construction of Collector Road CO1 in the Institution and Research District, from the Nile University area to Ring Road III, held at Nile University, Abuja.
This important project underscores the Renewed Hope Administration's commitment to building critical infrastructure that supports education, research, innovation, and economic growth. The road will improve connectivity within Abuja's Institution and Research District, providing easier access for students, academics, legal practitioners, researchers, and residents while linking the area seamlessly to Ring Road III and the wider city.
The project also builds on the successful completion of the first phase of the corridor connecting the Body of Benchers, Nile University, and Baze University, which will soon be commissioned as part of activities marking three years of the Renewed Hope Administration.
As President Tinubu noted, infrastructure remains the foundation of national development. By investing in roads that connect centres of learning, justice, and innovation, we are laying the groundwork for a knowledge-driven economy and a more prosperous future for all Nigerians.
I also commended the Honourable Minister of the FCT, Barrister Nyesom Wike, CON, for his outstanding commitment to transforming Abuja through impactful infrastructure delivery, as well as the entire FCTA team for their dedication to service.
Today, I had the privilege of representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, to officially flag off the construction of two service carriageways of the Southern Parkway, stretching from Arterial Road S20 to Ring Road II, off Oladipo Diya Way in Gaduwa District, Abuja.
This landmark project is another testament to President Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to delivering modern infrastructure and improving the lives of Nigerians through the Renewed Hope Agenda.
I commend the Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barrister Nyesom Wike, for his visionary leadership, dedication, and tireless efforts in accelerating the transformation of Abuja through strategic infrastructure investments.
As we continue to expand critical road networks and enhance connectivity across the Federal Capital Territory, we remain focused on building a stronger, more prosperous Nigeria where quality infrastructure drives economic growth, creates opportunities, and improves the wellbeing of our people.
The Renewed Hope Agenda is not just a promise, it is steadily becoming a reality.
Today, the people of Ekiti are head to the polls to elect their Governor. The APC is fully prepared, and our Situation Room has been activated to monitor developments across the state while working closely with our stakeholders to ensure a peaceful, free, fair, and credible electoral process.

@AHayatu A former Bank Chairman and twice served Governor cannot be considered a 'Nonentity'. While it is your right to disagree with PO, terming him in such a manner reflects very poorly on your conduct.
Earlier today, I was in Ekiti State with the Vice President Kashim Shettima, the National Working Committee, governors, and other leaders of our great party to attend the mega rally for Governor Abiodun Oyebanji, who is also our gubernatorial candidate in the election coming up this weekend in the state.
The mammoth crowd that attended the rally was a clear testament to the overwhelming acceptability, popularity, and outstanding performance of Governor Oyebanji across the length and breadth of Ekiti State. The enthusiasm, excitement, and unity displayed by the people left no doubt that Ekiti people have embraced his leadership and are ready to reward him with another mandate.
Governor Oyebanji has justified the confidence reposed in him by the people. Under his administration, critical roads have been constructed and rehabilitated, opening up communities and facilitating economic activities. His government has created an enabling environment for students to learn and excel, while significant investments have been made in education and human capital development.
Today, everywhere you turn in Ekiti, the evidence of good governance is visible. The people recognize what Governor Oyebanji has done, and they are proud of his achievements. That is why thousands gathered voluntarily to express their support and reaffirm their confidence in his leadership.
By the grace of God and with the support of the good people of Ekiti State, victory awaits our great party at the polls this weekend.

It was an overwhelming joy for me in Ebonyi State when I led members of the National Working Committee of our great party among other party leaders to the endorsement rally of our father and leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, organised by the Governor and the good people of Ebonyi State.
It was an overwhelming joy for me in Ebonyi State when I led members of the National Working Committee of our great party to the endorsement rally of our father and leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, organised by the Governor and the good people of Ebonyi State.
What I witnessed today was nothing short of extraordinary. Ebonyi is APC, and APC is Ebonyi. The unprecedented turnout, enthusiasm, and unwavering support demonstrated by the people leave no doubt about where their loyalty lies. From the moment we arrived at the airport, thousands of men, women, and youths lined the streets, singing, dancing, and proudly expressing their love for the APC and President Tinubu.
I have seen it, I have heard it, and I promused to personally tell Mr. President what I witnessed. The numbers I saw today are simply unbelievable and reflect the deep appreciation of the people for the transformational leadership being provided at both the state and federal levels.
The people have acknowledged the remarkable achievements of the Ebonyi State Government in massive road construction, quality educational infrastructure, and the establishment of institutions that will shape the future of generations to come. Governor Francis Nwifuru deserves commendation for his commitment to the development of the state.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has also demonstrated uncommon commitment to the progress of the South East through strategic infrastructure projects. From the rehabilitation of the Port Harcourt–Aba–Enugu corridor to the Enugu–Benue road and the Cross River–Ebonyi axis, the evidence of federal intervention is visible across the region. No administration in Nigeria’s history has invested so significantly in opening up and reconnecting the South East.
I urged the good people of Ebonyi to continue standing firmly behind their leaders. No one can cede Ebonyi to the opposition because the people have spoken with one voice. The future of Ebonyi remains with the APC.
Therefore, we are committed to ensuring the return of Governor Francis Nwifuru as the duly elected Governor of Ebonyi State, while working tirelessly for the overwhelming re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.
Together, we will continue to build a stronger Ebonyi and a greater Nigeria.
