Why Air Force Major Jason Watson Is Now in Military Custody

Major Jason Watson had every right as an American citizen to hold personal political opinions. What an active-duty commissioned officer does not possess is an unrestricted right to use the military uniform as a platform for partisan political activism.

JULY 1, 2026 | Watson appeared in uniform on the steps of the U.S. Capitol carrying a sign reading “Impeach Convict Remove,” targeting President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance.
Capitol Police ordered him to stop demonstrating after the member of Congress accompanying him left the area. Watson refused and was arrested for crowding, obstructing and incommoding.

JULY 2, 2026 | The District of Columbia dropped the civilian charge. The Air Force nevertheless took custody of Watson and restricted him to Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling while investigating possible military violations.

The reported UCMJ issues included contempt toward officials, failure to obey an order, conduct unbecoming an officer and conduct prejudicial to good order and discipline.
AUGUST 18, 2026 | The Air Force placed Watson in pretrial confinement after finding probable cause supporting allegations of continued misconduct.

According to his attorney, Watson had announced that he would no longer wear his uniform while performing military duties. After being ordered to put it back on, he allegedly refused and was detained approximately 20 minutes later.

As of the latest public reporting, the Air Force has not formally preferred charges. Watson remains presumed innocent and is entitled to review under military court procedures.
But the principle is already clear.

Active-duty service members can vote, communicate with elected officials and express personal opinions within established regulations. They cannot present partisan political activity as though it carries the authority of the armed forces.

Article 88 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice prohibits commissioned officers from using contemptuous words against the president, vice president and other senior officials. Article 92 governs the failure to obey lawful orders and regulations.

These restrictions are not designed to protect one political party. They protect civilian control and the nonpartisan character of the American military.

Watson knowingly turned his rank and uniform into instruments of political theater. He was not silenced for casting a ballot or holding a private opinion. He publicly challenged the elected commander in chief while visibly representing the United States Air Force.

That distinction matters.

America cannot permit officers to decide that personal political convictions override lawful military regulations. Once uniformed personnel begin acting as partisan campaigners, military cohesion and public trust start to fracture.

The uniform belongs to the nation.

It is not a personal billboard.

This home remedy sounds great in theory, but it doesn’t really work that well in practice. The real causes of dark circles under the eyes aren’t on the surface of the skin they come from inside the body.

Genetics, severe lack of sleep, anemia, too much time in front of computer screens, and mental stress are the main reasons the skin under the eyes looks dark. Putting cucumber or tomato slices on your eyes might give temporary coolness and relief, but it won’t permanently fix dark circles.

If you want to get rid of dark circles for good, make sure you get enough sleep, drink more water, and after checking with a doctor use an eye cream that contains caffeine or retinol.

Jesus sets us free- but that freedom has a purpose. Paul reminds us that Christian freedom is not about doing whatever we want. It's about becoming free from sin and selfishness so we can live differently.

One of the clearest signs of that freedom is humble service. We don't serve others to earn God's love; we serve because we have already received His love.

Sometimes serving God looks surprisingly simple: encouraging someone who is struggling, forgiving when it's difficult, helping without expecting recognition, or choosing kindness when we could put ourselves first.

True freedom in Christ produces love in action.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the freedom I have in Christ. Help me not to live selfishly, but to humbly serve others with the love You have shown me. Let my words and actions point people toward Jesus.

The U.S. Army and its allies are testing how ordinary ground formations can survive inside a battlefield saturated with inexpensive drones.

During Project Flytrap 5.0, conducted in Lithuania from April 30 to May 19, 2026, American and British forces evaluated more than 50 counter-drone technologies under realistic field conditions.

The systems included battlefield radars, radio-frequency jammers, kinetic interceptors, unmanned ground vehicles, attack drones and artificial-intelligence-enabled command networks.

The breakthrough is not one spectacular weapon. It is the network connecting them.

A radar may detect an approaching drone. Electronic-warfare equipment identifies its control signal. The command network determines which unit has the best firing position. A jammer, interceptor or soldier then defeats the threat.

Project Flytrap also placed commercial and experimental equipment directly into soldiers’ hands. Their battlefield feedback can determine which technologies are purchased, how they are distributed and what tactics are adopted across larger formations.

This matters because traditional air-defense missiles are too expensive and scarce to use against every low-cost drone. Forces need layered defenses that can select the least expensive effective response electronic disruption, when possible, gunfire when necessary and specialized interceptors for the most dangerous threats.

Project Flytrap signals a major doctrinal change. Counter-drone defense can no longer remain the responsibility of a few specialized units guarding major bases.

Every maneuver formation must be able to detect, track and defeat drones while continuing to move and fight.

The next battlefield will not have a separate drone war. Drones will be present everywhere and every unit must become part of the defense.

The U.S. Navy has declared initial operational capability for the GBU-53/B StormBreaker on the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet.

StormBreaker is not simply another precision bomb. It combines three guidance systems: millimeter-wave radar, infrared imaging and semi-active laser guidance. That allows it to identify and strike moving or stationary targets through darkness, fog, smoke, rain and battlefield dust.

The weapon is also network-enabled. Operators can update its target information after launch, allowing the mission to change while the bomb is already in flight.

That matters because modern targets rarely remain stationary. Mobile missile launchers, air-defense vehicles and armored formations can reposition immediately after being detected. A weapon relying on fixed coordinates may arrive after the target has moved. StormBreaker is designed to continue searching and adjust.

Its relatively compact size also allows an aircraft to carry more weapons per mission than it could with larger precision munitions. The result is greater target capacity without requiring additional aircraft inside a contested battlespace.

StormBreaker previously entered service on the Air Force’s F-15E Strike Eagle and is being integrated with additional combat aircraft. Its arrival on the Super Hornet expands the Navy’s ability to conduct precision strikes from carrier-based aviation.
