There has been a spate of hacks on TON:
• Offers containing fake USDT were sent out on Getgems. The fraudulent offers have now been removed and the ability to accept any remaining offers has been disabled.
• The TAC protocol was likely hacked, with $3 million worth of USDT, BLUM and tsTON stolen.
TON Strategy Company has released its financial results for the first quarter of 2026, reporting that it holds 4.29% of all Toncoins (worth approximately $272 million), has generated $3 million in staking revenue, and has appointed a new CEO.
Vladimir Smerkis, co-founder of Blum, former head of Binance in the CIS and a participant in other projects, has been sentenced to five years in prison in connection with a case of advertising fraud.
