@Travis_in_Flint I don’t know who Trump has or hasn’t sexually harassed or raped. What I do know based upon what my eyes have seen and my ears have heard is that he is a disgusting, vile person.
Best I can tell this woman never taught or was never a school administrator a day in her life. Though she was staff for a state senator and also a lobbyist, her entire career has been about working against public education. Guess that tracks for @GovBillLee. 🙄
@debhow1@VoteGloriaJ Please explain why you think this is the public school’s fault. I work in a public school and have seen no evidence to back up your statement in the 27 years I’ve taught in TN.
@georgeforbis@AmyFrogge With our current state government, yes I agree. That’s why I will not choose to support most of the current people running our state government with my vote in the future.
@georgeforbis@AmyFrogge Only if those private schools are held accountable for the same things public schools are accountable for such as the state testing and the ridiculous expectations put on public schools.
@georgeforbis@AmyFrogge I’m not against choice at all! My parents chose to send me to a private school as a kid. I chose to have my kids attend public K-12 schools. My daughter graduated from a private college and my son graduated from a public college. I choose to teach in a public school.
@georgeforbis@AmyFrogge It’s so ruined that both of my kids attended college completely on scholarship money and now both have a job right out of college. Guess those public schools ruined their lives.🙄
@UnsilntPatriot @VoteGloriaJ Should parents still be allowed to take children to a movie that is not rated for their age? Guess the state needs to regulate parenting in all situations now.🙄
@WTH_News_Net@VoteGloriaJ Most of my friends who work for the private sector do work 40 hour weeks unless they are the actual owner of a business. They get overtime when they work longer or cover for their coworkers. We don’t get paid for the extra hours of work put into the job.
@WTH_News_Net@VoteGloriaJ If you were to compare the number of hours most teachers put into their job to those in the private sector, it is close to the same amount of time, even with those holidays and the two months of summer. We also have to get inservice hours and training during those “off” days.
