THE “WORST OF THE WORST”: A NUN WITH A WORK PERMIT.
Sleep peacefully, America. ICE caught Sister Leticia Ugboaja walking to Sunday Mass.
She had a valid work permit, attended EVERY required immigration appointment and complied with EVERY condition of her court-ordered protection.
A nun. A nurse. Following the rules. Walking to church.
Thank God they got to her before she could receive Communion.
It took intervention from members of Congress to help secure her release. Apparently, a work permit and doing everything immigration officials require aren’t quite as effective as knowing someone in Congress.
So much for “do it the right way" hey MAGA????

Every human being has equal value. Every single one.
At the United Nations General Assembly, I challenged a world that still decides whose lives deserve protection and whose suffering can be ignored.
No race is superior. No people are disposable. Until we honour that truth, "everywhere is war" remains a warning we have failed to heed.
What the world needs now is love, with the courage to confront injustice and defend our shared humanity.
Love and a little kindness. For everyone.
At 81, Donald Johnson is still working to help pay his wife’s medical bills as she battles pancreatic cancer. Then something extraordinary happened: strangers stepped up, and a GoFundMe has now raised more than $500,000. Donald and Josephine join me to talk about their journey, the struggle, and the “miracle” of people simply choosing to help.
Barack Obama at his last press briefing with reporters, 2017:
"I have enjoyed working with all of you. That does not, of course, mean that I've enjoyed every story that you have filed, but that's the point of this relationship. You're not supposed to be sycophants. You're supposed to be skeptics. You're supposed to ask me tough questions. You're not supposed to be complimentary, but you're supposed to cast a critical eye on folks who hold enormous power."
Zohran Mamdani: “DoorDash had underpaid more than 260K delivery workers across New York City. Today, after years of corporate greed and impunity, we are holding DoorDash to account. I am proud to announce that DoorDash will pay more than $131M, the largest settlement for food delivery workers ever secured in American municipal history and a landmark win for those who have been mistreated and abused for years with nowhere to turn”
In sickness and in health. ❤️
Three years into their marriage, Michael J. Fox got news that can shake a person — and a marriage — to the foundation.
He was 29. Early-onset Parkinson’s.
When he told Tracy Pollan, she didn’t flinch. She reminded him of the vow they had already made: in sickness and in health.
Those weren’t just wedding-day words. They became the life they lived.
Michael kept the diagnosis private for seven years. He kept working. He fought battles most people never saw. When he went public in 1998, Tracy was still right there.
On September 14, 2026, he received the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award at the Emmy Awards for decades of Parkinson’s research and advocacy. Tracy was there again — not as a celebrity plus-one, but as his wife.
Nearly four decades. Four children. Fame, hard years, sobriety, uncertainty, and a disease that changed everything — except this: he never had to face it alone.
It’s easy to promise “for better or worse” when everything is better. The vow means something when the worse arrives and you still choose each other.
This isn’t just a Hollywood love story. It’s a story about commitment.
Love starts a marriage. Commitment keeps it standing.

The woman in blue approaches her former nanny Rufina and gives her a warm hug. Rufina politely returns the greeting, unaware of who she is. But the moment she finally recognizes her, her reaction is enough to bring tears to your eyes. Grab a tissue before watching this one. 😭❤

No piercings, no tattoos to attract attention. Just a good voice, a good band, good sound, a good song. Comparing it to today's music is unfair because 80s music was far superior.
There were a bunch of idiots out there yesterday protesting NYC Mayor Mamdani on the 25th Anniversary of 9/11.
Not because of his policies. Not because of his agenda. Not because of his actions. Not because of ANYTHING he has ever said or done, but simply because of who he is: a Muslim — in a city struck by Islamic terrorists a quarter century ago.
This protest was one of the stupidest, most UN-American things anyone could ever take part in. It was a despicable act of anti-Muslim bigotry — plain and simple. And it had no place in NYC — yesterday or ever.
Let me say this: the fact that — 25 years after 9/11 — New Yorkers elected a young Muslim to lead their city is something everyone in this country should be PROUD of. Not because everyone should embrace his policies — but because of what his victory suggests about this country. Regardless of how anyone felt about Mamdani’s policy proposals, prejudice against his faith did not stop a majority of NY voters from giving him a chance to lead the city. That’s a GOOD thing. His victory is proof that hate did not win.
If you want to “make America great,” start by honoring the fact that only a great city in a great nation could rise above knee-jerk prejudice and elect a young Muslim within living memory of that attack. That fact is something we can all be proud of. It should enhance and elevate our commemorations.
The bigots who protested Mamdani did carry American flags. But they were not American patriots. True patriots don’t just love “America” in the abstract. They also love AMERICANS in the real world — regardless of their race, religion or creed. If you despise or distrust a fellow American SOLELY because of how they pray, then you should leave Old Glory at home when you attend your next rally. A Nazi flag is the more appropriate banner for you.
This video of Barack and Michelle Obama meeting 106-year-old Virginia McLaurin will never stop mattering.
Born in segregated South Carolina in 1909, she once wrote: “I didn’t think I would live to see a Colored President.”
When her dream finally came true, she danced through the White House and declared: “I’m here to celebrate Black history.”
She lived long enough to see history change. ❤️
