@sullymygoodname I would also add Monmouth as an example from a few years ago who scheduled tough ooc, beat a few good teams, and was left out of the tourney because of a couple "bad" losses in conference. No incentive to schedule quality non con ganes
@parlaypyle@sullymygoodname As a fan, I just have no interest in watching early rounds with .500 p4 teams. Give me Miami, mcneese st, Stephen f Austin, and let's see if any of them are actually any good.
@parlaypyle@sullymygoodname Given how they've skewed the selection process so at large bids are pretty much the exclusive domain of the p4, I'd love for the first four to be used for non p4 teams with great records. The p4 will never give up that revenue though.
@sullymygoodname@WestPineBills Was donoher or JOB not technically fired? Because I see old newspaper headlines for both stating they were fired, which is how I remember it for donoher as a student at the time.
@sullymygoodname I also think the stat for whether a team is beating up on weak competition or playing up to better teams is more predictive of making a run.
@sullymygoodname I don't fundamentally disagree but that 2 point win over Loyola hurt way more than I thought it would. Went from the 7th team out to the 20th. Just don't do that again.
@sullymygoodname Not just win those 5 games, but demonstrate improved offensive and defensive efficiency because playing down to inferior teams has been hurting us.
@sullymygoodname I don't know his contract situation, but hard to see him being there next year unless it's just too expensive to let him go. His Dayton tenure looks more and more like a fluke
@sullymygoodname With the roster turnover year to year, I hope something happens during non-con to get me excited for conference play. And I'm left with nothing that excites me this year.
