BREAKING: SpaceXAI just released a major Grok Build update, with Grok 4.7 now available in Grok Build.

The update improves crash recovery, prompt handling, navigation, configuration reliability and overall subagent performance. It also adds new subagent controls, configurable request limits and long-reasoning reminders.

Release Notes

Version 1.0.41 — September 22, 2026

Features

• Added a new sports_search tool that can look up live NFL scores, standings, schedules, player stats and team records directly from X data.

• Added a subagent model inheritance setting to /settings. It persists in config.toml and respects managed and overlay layers.

• Per-model request size limits can now be configured to match provider HTTP body caps and control inline image eviction.

• A long-reasoning reminder can now be enabled through config to nudge the model after lengthy hidden-reasoning steps.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed the subagent fullscreen view so it no longer shows a stray [Dashboard] button in the header.

• Fixed agent frontmatter mcpServers so headers and URLs from the active agent’s agent.md correctly override config.toml and survive config reloads or agent switches.

• Ctrl+P now opens the command palette immediately from the welcome screen.

• The Dashboard now focuses the “+ New Agent” row instead of leaving the previous session selected.

• Sessions interrupted by a crash now show a clear marker instead of silently dropping the turn.

• Pressing Ctrl+Z immediately after stashing a prompt now restores it.

• The collapsed edit blocks setting now correctly collapses edits even when expanded_by_default is pinned to true.

• Interjections now receive a visible reply before the agent resumes its previous tasks.

• Cancelling a turn blocked on spawn_subagent now tells the model that the child moved to the background instead of claiming it was never executed.

• Saving a queued-prompt edit now returns focus to the composer so the next keystrokes type the next message.

• Subagent activation is now consistent between the TUI and Grok Agent Studio. Tables that only set limits or models no longer disable subagents.

• Effort-level selection now accepts menu labels in addition to IDs.

[Tesla @Tesla]

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate the first Giga Texas deliveries and party with us. Yeehaw!

[SouthPhillyBleedin @PhillyBleedin]

Can someone take over Red Zone play calls for Nick? He’s fine getting us there, then throws bag to wind. Can’t win games that way

[Joel Embiid @JoelEmbiid]

PHILLY I LOVE YOU
Sorry to disappoint you again Just know that I gave everything I had knowing the circumstances. If there’s one thing I’ve learned being here, it’s the TOUGHNESS this city has and that’s why I played with a torn meniscus. THANK YOU FOR THE SUPPORT ALL YEAR LONG!!

[Michael K-B @therealmikekb]

Major credit to Joel Embiid for playing through a meniscus tear and giving his all to the #Sixers. Dude had an incredible season.

[Bleacher Report @BleacherReport]

What a season for Joel Embiid:

➖ Averaged a career-high 28.5 PPG
➖ Led Sixers to best record in East (49-23)
➖ Played with partially torn meniscus in playoffs
➖ All-Star, All-NBA Second Team and All-Defensive Second Team

[Barstool Sports @barstoolsports]

Damn. Not even Doc can find it in him to defend Simmons.

[Brandon Lee Gowton @BrandonGowton]

Obvious offensive foul on Collins.

[Victor Williams @ThePhillyPod]

Dealing with Ben Simmons & Carson Wentz trade rumors in consecutive months has not been kind to my mental stability.

[Nickmercs @NICKMERCS]

Explain how that’s not pass interference or defensive holding? The fuck y’all on in Green Bay bro 😂

We know we aren’t a basketball page... but there’s just NO way you trade the guy on the left for the guy on the right, right?

@PHLSixersNation

[Eagles Fan Central @PhilaFanCentral]

Hang on to Ben Simmons, who has been a rookie of the year and All Star before the age of 24. Tyrese Maxey too

Let Harden, already in his 13th season, go be a team cancer with Kyrie, they’ll destroy the Nets from within over time, and keep what we have here intact.

[Todd Pinkston @PinkstonTodd]

FACTS.

[Bleeding Green Nation @BleedingGreen]

It’s like he did all the things Wentz used to do. Escape pressure, pickup yards with his legs, find guys open downfield, etc.

[Paul Hembekides (Hembo) @PaulHembo]

The Ravens (17.3) and Steelers (18.8) rank 1st and 2nd, respectively, in scoring defense.

In consecutive weeks, the Eagles hung 57 on them with Travis Fulgham as their No. 1 WR.

Carson Wentz is Carson Wentz again.
