@vhaalantine @lucat1el47 @VBlackwood0 @ZoieNolan4 @Genki_JPN Im a shooter guy. 2001 I started playing Halo and before that Unreal Tornament. They put you in a game where your aim is always BAD! Seriously, THE WORST experience personally because it felt like the game taking control AWAY from me for hours on end. Horrible 🤮. 5mins of 2 ❌️

@SwedishXeno @BryanOnTheMic The real tech reason why these games dont get 1:1 remakes is that the original code doesn't exist. So most of it is emulation and backward engineering. Specifically 7-9

@SwedishXeno I truly like the games having voice acting more than GFX and would absolutely buy remasters that add it. Preferably 3d remake with voice acting. We have the tech to make it better, so why not improve on the original. big story changes other than meaningful additions are a no-go.

If you aren't already into FF its very unlikely youre going to buy a game name FF Versus XIII, Final Fantasy: "people outside the fanbase won't know what this is"

@hotovercooked @crazymariobros @lecatndmich Squaresoft does really have a naming and advertising issue with their games. People making those choices really need to stop. Why add the MMO entries into the numbered single-player games? Was there any other reason than to trick some kids into thinking they are getting a FF game

@crazymariobros @lecatndmich 4 5 and 6 all have good stories. The first 3 games are just the building blocks for a completely developed flushed out experience. 6 stands out graphically, but I would argue with the same level of GFX, 4 and 6 would stand toe to toe. I dont think either get remade before IX!

@lecatndmich That says PS4, it's been put forever, people have played it. Theres almost no reason to play the first 3 other than nostalgia. They aren't written well and are basic and have nothing of consequence that isnt in later games. Unlike most I played them on cartridge and am saying it

@lucat1el47 @vhaalantine @VBlackwood0 @ZoieNolan4 @Genki_JPN Even the OGs were carried by the gameplay but would have achieved much higher critical appeal with proper movement and shooting instead of tank controls. IE RE1 Remake, which is hands down the best version on RE1.

I didnt even bother with the second game once I played 5 minutes, enough to see it was the same game. Not doing another 6-10 hours of trash gameplay. Unlike RE where the gameplay literally carries it all.

@ZoieNolan4 @Genki_JPN RE getting remade was what brought people back. Those were amazing games with HORRID CONTROLS. RE was held back by controls. EVEN THE OG RE 4 HAD TRASH CONTROLS. If there had been other games like RE at that time with even minimally decent controls we wouldnt have ever gotten RE2

@SilentWraith87 @SurvivorNo0322 @capcom_official @CapcomUSA_ The main issue with the old games are the controls. Even RE4 had terrible controls compared to what we got in the remake. They most certainly are the better versions. Now , I also enjoy the remake they did of the first RE on gamecube, where the gameplay matches the OG closely.
