Wolf Mama is gorgeous, but if mod support happens… I already know what my first mod is going to be — Ganyu as a cocogoat mama, with the little (okay, maybe not-so-little) herd of qilin kids she and Aether have together.

Ganyu and Aether’s family car.
The Qixing just want their secretary back from maternity leave. Xianyun strongly disagrees.

Ganyu appeared in the Genshin Impact Version 7.1 livestream! 🥰
Oh, so the developers DO remember she exists.
They even showed her for a few whole seconds just to illustrate something we already knew about another character.
Aww, they really shouldn’t have.
You know what they should have done instead?
ADD MORE GANYU CONTENT TO THE ACTUAL GAME.
I keep getting new ideas for Aether/Ganyu art and memes, but by the time I get home I’m already exhausted. After everything I have to do, there’s usually only enough time left for my Genshin dailies, and if I do have any free time after that, I’m already too drained to draw.
Then I wait for the weekend, hoping I’ll finally have the time and energy. Sometimes plans get in the way, sometimes I’m just tired. And even when I finally sit down to draw, what I end up with never looks as beautiful as it did in my head.
It’s frustrating having so many things I want to make about Ganyu and Aether and feeling like I can never actually get to them.
@Ahnoroth This is exactly what I meant. Cosmetic dialogue options that don’t affect the story or lore have been in the game since day one, and they continue to appear throughout the game. And don’t pretend I’m the only person who had a problem with the way Citlali acted.
George Lucas, two weeks before the release of The Empire Strikes Back:
Lucas: “Perhaps audiences never imagined this, but Darth Vader is Luke’s father.”
Interviewer: “Did you just casually drop something entirely shocking?”
Lucas: “Well, they’ll see it in the movie anyway. And now they can better understand Vader’s motivations.”
I’m making a big deal out of it? I just said I disliked a couple of interactions. If you dislike something, you should say so — staying silent only makes it look like you were fine with it.
And how would quitting help? Would it somehow undo those moments? My whining, along with everyone else’s, at least has a better chance of influencing future writing than silently quitting.
@Ahnoroth The kind of dialogue choice I’m asking for is literally already in the game. And I should quit a game I’ve played daily since launch over a couple of interactions I disliked? Seriously?
@Ahnoroth Cosmetic choices do change tone. They just don’t change the plot.
“We’ll help for the reward” and “We’ll help because it’s right” can lead to the same result, but they make the Traveler feel different. That’s all I wanted here.
@Ahnoroth It literally already offers cosmetic dialogue choices. I’m not asking for Baldur’s Gate; I’m asking for the basic tone options Genshin already uses.
Everyone here is sharing opinions. Nobody is obligated to agree. But sometimes it feels like people can’t tolerate someone having a different reaction to the same scene.
Maybe the Traveler was comfortable with it. But they also could have been uncomfortable. A lot of people wouldn’t enjoy being pushed somewhere by someone acting like Citlali did. I wouldn’t enjoy it either, even if I didn’t already dislike her.
Imagine the same scene with a character you personally dislike. Wouldn’t you want an option for the Traveler to refuse, or at least answer neutrally without playing along?
I’m not “always going to say I wanted something else.” I say it when something I dislike happens and the game could easily allow another reaction.
That’s how I feel about events too. Some characters appear constantly, while others show up once a year with a few exposition lines. Make more interactions optional. I can choose the ones I like, and other players can skip them. I don’t care if another player’s Traveler dislikes a character I like.
