Charizard Capital Update

Over the first 10 days of September, we’ve made tremendous progress in our collective mission. With so many new trainers joining, now is a great time to provide an update on where we stand.

Our Mission
To build the greatest Charizard collection in the world and put it fully onchain.

Vault Progress
Since launch, we’ve acquired 37 Charizards, with 27 already tokenized in the vault. The remaining 10 are either being authenticated or are en route to the vault.

Because most acquisitions are physical slabs sourced from eBay or private sellers, there’s always some lag in shipping and authentication. Still, the collection continues to expand week by week.

Working Capital
We currently hold ~$77,000 in fees available to deploy.

Our current community voted shopping list includes:
Shining Neo Destiny Unlimited PSA 10
Gold Star PSA 9
Prerelease SWSH066 PSA 10
Flashfire #11 PSA 10

Together, these represent over $20,000 in cards that we are actively pursuing. The higher end slabs are harder to source, but we’re in discussions with multiple private parties to secure them at fair prices.

Beyond acquisitions, our top priority is the new website. We’ve contracted a graphic designer and developer, with an expected cost of ~$6,000.

After accounting for these purchases and the website, we expect to retain roughly $50,000 in unallocated funds. We’ve also budgeted ~$1,000 for IRL marketing. Importantly, this balance continues to grow daily thanks to the new fee model (shout out @pumpdotfun).

Important Reminder: Every single dollar generated from fees goes back into the project.

Content & Community

YouTube Shorts: Posting daily with consistent traction.

TikTok: Still shadowbanned. Currently giving the account a cool-off period.

Streaming: Kicked off a Pokemon Red playthrough to expand livestream content (the first battle was just a warm up). We’re also working on securing more reliable sealed suppliers for rip-and-ship streams (next one scheduled for Friday). Question for the community: would there be interest in a vintage box break?

IRL Onboarding
We’ve attended shows to grow awareness and continue exploring connections with reputable TCG accounts.

Custody of the Vault
Several community members have asked about vault ownership. To be clear: the collection belongs to the community, not the team. We are open to exploring a multisig. We will probably put a poll out shortly for it.

Closing Note
Day by day, slab by slab, we’re building something lasting. The collection is already a reflection of what can be accomplished together and we’re only getting started.
