We’re so happy to celebrate another successful outcome made possible by quick thinking and selfless actions before paramedics arrived. 👏 Well done, Dr. Liu! 🔗 #ChainOfSurvival
She came to cheer on her child's soccer game. She ended up saving a stranger's life.
Dr. Jessica Liu, Division Head, Internal Medicine and Geriatrics at @UHN, was on the sidelines at Rosedale Park when a young man suddenly collapsed nearby. Alongside Dr. Hedieh Molla Ghanbari and Daniel Tiberini, she jumped into action, performing CPR and helping revive him until paramedics arrived to take him to Toronto General Hospital. Today, he's fully recovered.
Dr. Liu was honoured with a Toronto Citizen Hero Award, because lifesaving moments can happen anywhere and heroes often show up when you least expect them.💙
Hiring soon! 🩺 Have you graduated, or will you be graduating by June 10, 2027? Our upcoming job posting is for you.

Toronto Paramedic Services extends our heartfelt support and solidarity with the brave women and men affected by the major fire at CFB Wainwright in Alberta on Saturday.
Our hearts and thoughts are with everyone impacted by this tragedy.
Think heart attack and cardiac arrest are the same? They're not.
❤️ Heart attack = "plumbing" problem.
⚡️ Cardiac arrest = "electrical" problem where the heart suddenly/unexpectedly stops beating. Knowing the difference could help save a life.
