Police in Limpopo have arrested a 17-year-old boy in connection with the brutal murder of a 16-year-old girl in Pharare village.
The teen initially claimed that he and the victim had been abducted by four masked individuals driving a blue VW Polo, forced into the vehicle at gunpoint and taken to a bushy area, where he was attacked and injured before managing to escape.
However, further investigations uncovered inconsistencies in his account. The suspect was later arrested while receiving medical treatment at a local hospital.
Police confirmed that the victim’s body was found naked, with her head buried nearby. A weapon believed to have been used in the murder was also recovered.
