@darrenpjones So, now you have three separate layers of delivery (as well as the programme team) and overall responsibility split between departments and the centre. Don’t these people ever study failed projects and the reasons why, including split lines of authority and accountability?
@khnh80044 Please someone say thanks for a classic song to the tragic figure of Danny Whitten of Crazy Horse, Neil Young’s old band, who wrote it with a few of the lyrics by Nils Lofgren.
@BestMovieMom Really?. All those vocal tics and clicks and well choreographed nasally interrupted speech patterns? It’s called overacting and if he fell as histrionically in the penalty area, there’d be a yellow card for simulation.
@terracemartin Dear Terrace, once again thank you for a brilliant and challenging album. Circuitry is outstanding. And I still listen to the older stuff. This and Thundercat’s Distracted in the same year….
@SalvadorDafti Sorry Mr Dafti, while respecting your opinion, Old Brown Shoe is also in that category. You can imagine the conversation - “ Oh God John, we’ve got to let George have one song”. “Bollocks” George Martin “Gentlemen, may I suggest a B-side or a track in an album of no consequence.”
@prodnose Jimmy Savile
Gary Glitter
Rolf Harris
Kim Philby
Guy Burgess
King Zog of Albania
It’s strange that they don’t feature much on social media these days…y
@Jessjqg@Reuters No need to worry about your economy. You may have almost no French, Germans, educated Brits and EU incomers who don’t want to eat unhealthy fast food with their fingers but Farage and Truss will always want to visit Mar a Lager for a freebie pint and a photo. Don’t despair.
@rocknrollofall Hey! Worth posting. Not often you get one zero talent interviewing another. Did Tyler ever sing, rather than scream like he’s gearing up for a prostate biopsy?
@GenTXer2 By far the most talented of the three brothers. David’s UK political career failed, Ed’s net zero policy is financially unaffordable but Steve goes from strength to strength.
@TheDylanRabbit Someone had to puncture the right on pomposity of the 60’s.
It was better done by the Bonzos than any others, with a kind of of anarchic focus on the ridiculous, with some of them almost competent musicians. Sometimes you just can’t win…
@Londonist In supercool Kennington, you can get off the 159 bus and do the Dog House, Tommyfield, Prince of Wales and White Bear within a couple hundred yards before heading off to the Kennington Tandoori for a well-earned curry.
@FLCons For those who find Campbell’s version just a little bit too smooth, Jimmy Webb’s own stripped back simple version on piano brings out the emotional vulnerability of an ordinary working man, whose sense of duty takes him away from what he most loves.
@MayMayspeaks The maid had the perfect answer and was exonerated. She was getting Saturday’s mail, having been too busy that day plotting and carrying out the murder to find time for anything else. The police are now pursuing other leads.
