@ShitusLibus@pcgamer I didn't say it wasn't being used, but people are stepping back from it. I said "media" which may have been too blanketed, there may be places where it can be useful such as light/sound balancing or data organization. I meant this more in the creative sense.
@ShitusLibus@pcgamer The fact so many people are stepping away from the tech is proving that the tech isn't that inevitable. It has it's places, but that place will never be in media where it needs to steal from other people to function.
@TheBurnDoc@pcgamer Between compute, re-rendering and touchups, what time are you actually saving?
Has Ai really ever made anything faster with how many games are getting delayed anymore? The number of day one patches to fix Ai code?
Between hardware/token costs it cant be cheaper either.
The Art Directors Guild, IATSE Local 800 #adg800 has issued a statement on Martin Scorsese’s recent promotion of generative Artificial Intelligence (AI):
"Mr. Scorsese, The Business is not in flux.
Oscar winning director Martin Scorsese is turning his back on the human artists who throughout his career have helped him create his most memorable works.
In the recently released Black Forest Labs video promoting their generative AI product FLUX, Mr. Scorsese asks the question, “how do you communicate what you see in your head to your cast and crew?” He claims the solution is the use of this generative AI program to do the jobs that are rightfully the jurisdiction of Art Directors Guild Local 800 artists and designers - human artists and designers who have been successfully collaborating with directors to visualize their films for decades. Mr. Scorsese's promotion of a generative AI product circumvents the input of Art Directors Guild Local 800 art directors, graphic artists, illustrators, production designers, scenic artists, set designers, and other talented Union professionals.
Generative AI is only capable of producing this type of “cinematic intelligence” by ingesting large swaths of copyrighted work, likely scraped from the internet without consent, credit, compensation, or transparency.
The skills of Art Directors Guild Local 800 artists and designers bring the highest level of value to any film or television production. To think their professional contributions can be mimicked or outshone by generative AI, which is built on work likely stolen from them and many other artists from around the world, is a betrayal of the collaborative nature of cinema."

In short, a story happened.
I've already done half of the art, and then there was a devstream with a demonstration of the game model.
And now we need to redraw a third of the line and change the colors...
And so, I draw it very slowly because I have other things to do.
Sec. Kennedy: Mercury is absolutely—it’s the most powerful neurotoxin we know of in the universe.
Rep. Harder: So why are you working for an administration that is doubling the amount of mercury pollution in our air and water?
Sec. Kennedy: I am running HHS and I’m ending the chronic disease epidemic. I’m not going to comment on that because I don’t know anything about it.
Rep. Harder: Well, that’s very convenient for you, and it shows a significant degree of cowardice. It’s not just mercury. President Trump in July 2025 granted 50 chemical plants—
Sec. Kennedy: Why don’t you ask me something that I’m in charge of instead of other things?
Rep. Harder: Are you not in charge of Health and Human Services?
Capcom has made clear that AI-generated content won't make its way into any of its final game releases, with the company committing to keeping all shipped assets fully human-made.
