Most Non Hindus are well aware of the Hindu heritage behind Onam but still take part in the celebrations in their own way. I see the recent celebrations as a massive IDGAF to radical orgs.

@Ufc7892 @PunishedKebbin Trying to remove Hindu heritage from Onam is a genuine concern, I am aware that some religious institutions along with communist aligned ones are trying to secularize the festival. That said, I don't think Kebbin or most non Hindus disregard the Hindu lore behind Onam.
