@thisenglishhome@nursekelsey I don’t blame her for getting hate. What makes her the spokeswoman for nurses in the pandemic. She doesn’t speak for my sister who is a nurse. She just wants attention and likes. That’s why she has this platform
For this Nurse’s Day I would like to shout out a big FUCK YOU to all those who call us heroes but won’t do the bare minimum to keep this virus from spreading.
Last night sitting outside of a bar a man yelled “Josh!” as another man rode by on a bike. The man presumably named Josh slammed on his brakes as the other man leapt up from his chair and embraced him. They held each other for a *VERY* long time, laughing at first, then silence..
@nursekelsey I think you are getting backlash because of things you have said on your platform in the past. If people go back and get receipts of everything you have tweeted about gatherings the last 14 months
@MitaliPerkins@mitdasein Awesome. My now-wife were once hiking and two gruff-looking teens came up to us and said, "there's an owl chilling in a tree about twenty feet over there if you wanna check it out." They were right! So nice to see a Great Horned Owl in person.
@MitaliPerkins@randomthursday Taking my garbage out, dark alley, late at night. Shared the alley w. a dive bar. 3 drunk young men started yelling at me: "Hey! HEY!" I looked up, bracing myself. "There's an owl behind you!!" I looked up just in time to see the owl swoop by silently. A+ interaction.
I was walking alone yesterday when an unsmiling teen on a bike whizzed by. Our eyes met. He circled back, and I couldn’t help bracing myself for our encounter. “Hey, lady,” he said gruffly. “Five ducklings. Under the culvert ahead.” Then he did a wheelie and sped off.
@nursekelsey My sister is a working RN. She has a two year old son at home. She is working to save lives. There is nothing wrong with working moms. Why are women being shamed in 2021 for not spending time with their kids? From a kids POV it has to suck not seeing mom everyday
@nursekelsey I think the Instagram account should’ve gave you credit, but at the same time I would be flattered. Other nurses/doctors who work in ICUS can learn something from this photo.
