Today marks one year since the death of Tulsa Police Sgt. Craig Johnson, who lost his life after being shot by a suspect the day before.

👮Orientation for the Tulsa Police Community Advisory Boards👮
This past weekend, about two dozen new members with the Tulsa Police Community Advisory Board program went through orientation at the training division, learning about department policies and procedures.

This morning, hundreds of people gathered at the Tulsa Police Officers' Memorial outside the training division to honor the 41 Tulsa Police officers who have lost their lives while on duty, dating back to 1917.

Officer Love is making good progress in his recovery. He's talking, laughing, and in high spirits. He’s hoping to leave the hospital as soon as he can.
Officer Love says he also wants everyone to know he's very thankful for the prayers and support!

@utulsa Football had a historic season. It was a blast seeing them compete for a conference championship. Although I graduated a long time ago, this alum will write my umpteenth student loan check with a bit more school pride this month. Wishing you all a safe and Happy New Year!
Graveyard Shift Charlie Squad
The men and woman in this photo are assigned to the the overnight shift at the Gilcrease Division from 9:00 pm to 7:00 am.
They, along with Adam and Baker squad, are the ones answering the call from the citizens when things go bump in the night.
MNPD, FBI & ATF investigating the 6:30 a.m. explosion on 2nd Ave N linked to a vehicle. This appears to have been an intentional act. Law enforcement is closing downtown streets as investigation continues.
Many @TulsaPolice officers are members of faith communities all through out the city and metro. Today, one of our officer’s church, @woodlakechurch, brought by a great cake and offered kind words to us at the Mingo Valley Division. Thank you!
