Yesterday KSP Post 3 responded to 81 collisions and 60 motorist assist. I-65 along with all roads in the post 3 district remain slick and hazardous. If you do plan on traveling please lower your speeds and use caution.

🚨❄️I-65 is shutdown at the 51 mile marker southbound just south of Cave City. Traffic is backing up due to the road being ice covered and impassable. 🚨❄️

🚨❄️I-65 at the 63 mile marker southbound in Hart County is currently shut down due to multiple collisions. Reports of ice around the 43 mile marker northbound. All roadways in the Post 3 district should be considered extremely slick and hazardous.🚨❄️

Multiple collisions reported in the area of the 40 mile marker of I-65 north bound. All 3 lanes are closed at this time.

We are currently working 5 collisions on I-65 from the 18mm to the 58mm. Please use caution if you have to travel today.

All roadways in the Post 3 district remain slick and hazardous. We have worked multiple collisions and slide offs on I-65 and other roadways throughout the night. Please do not travel unless absolutely necessary.

@WxSils Roadways in the Post 3 district are starting to become snow covered. As the temperature drops and snow continues to fall, road conditions can change rapidly. I will try to update conditions as they become available.

We have responded to multiple collisions between the 1-2 mile markers of I-65 both north and southbound this morning due to heavy rain fall. Please use caution if you are traveling in the area.

TRAFFIC ALERT: KSP is currently investigating a fatal collision on I-165 northbound near the 19 mile marker. I-165 north will be closed in that area for the next few hours. Motorists should use Exit 7 to U.S. 231 as the detour.
