@tensaiojou35115@clinicalchild@Stealth40k And again just ending it here. I agree with most things you said. mostly about ai usage which is all speculation. It's possible they put in a lotta work and used a bit of AI as a crutch. Perhaps they really did do the bare min. Regardless, kinda worrying. Let's see how it goes
@tensaiojou35115@clinicalchild@Stealth40k It can take a messed up img, and use a similar POV that's properly drawn from its training set and apply that. Etc etc. obvs not exactly how it works but you get my point
@tensaiojou35115@clinicalchild@Stealth40k Yeah that's fine. In the end we agree, just not on the amount of AI usage. Much is just speculation so no point debating. I personally feel majority of 2d cutscenes are AI. But whether they are or not. Not a great sign. Good day to you π
@tensaiojou35115@clinicalchild@Stealth40k sorry Twitter chain messy. What I'm claiming is. All game footage is CG. All 2d cutscenes are AI.
When doing 2d cutscenes. Ai doesn't see things as "3d and not 3d" it's just image pixel data. It takes whatever it gets and mimics 2d anim to a meh degree.
All in-game is legit tho
@tensaiojou35115@clinicalchild@Stealth40k The thing is img to img on a 3d cut scene, a drawn out scene, anything. Can still give you a 2d look. Once fed to img to video, it can "mimic" the 2d look still (albeit not perfect) no matter if the original source was 2d or 3d
@tensaiojou35115@clinicalchild@Stealth40k I get what you mean, but I think you are underestimating it's ability to fake it. Plus it is STILL uncanny. It's just harder to see if they don't move much.

This is a good ref of its capabilities to "feel 2d"
@tensaiojou35115@clinicalchild@Stealth40k Thing.. something that AI cannot do right now. Since the entire thing is AI, they can't easily get artists to just patch it up. When their first cut is so botched. It gives little faith that they'd do other cuts properly. I get what you mean. But from my obvs all cuts are prob ai
@tensaiojou35115@clinicalchild@Stealth40k Sorry Twitter chain getting messy. Point is. You can have a lot of work behind it such as a designer setting up every shot.. it's just as equally likely they delegated most to AI. It's hard to say
But with my last point. If they can't edit out such an obvious error like the pen-
@tensaiojou35115@clinicalchild@Stealth40k Like rationally why would they hire a team of artists.. adapt AI tools in such a way.. spend so much time and resources.. and then not even remotely care about the very first shot with the pen is not drawing properly. If they had a team of artists, they'd 100% fix that
@tensaiojou35115@clinicalchild@Stealth40k As for anime studios using AI, majority has not adopted it. if any have it's probably mostly for auto in-between and colouring/bg stuff. For this, it'd be a waste of time to develop it in this way. If they gonna make the opening shot 100% ai video. They gonna do it for everything
@tensaiojou35115@clinicalchild@Stealth40k They use img to img to get a 2d looking style. Then img to video. And yes it has a hard time but has gotten better at covering it up. For example, look at when they jump over the window ledge. They look 2d and barely move then suddenly hyper 3d
@tensaiojou35115@clinicalchild@Stealth40k Models gotten better lately at hiding errors. It's highly likely that they use storyboards or in game snapshots as a base for their AI and do img to img and img to video and spam the hell out of it till it look passable. Muddying a 2d pipeline with ai just makes it more messy
@tensaiojou35115@clinicalchild@Stealth40k Vast majority of 2d cutscenes are likely AI. Most look 2d at first, then suddenly has hyper 3d look with awkward floatiness when they start moving
Plus it'd be weird to have a pipeline for 2d then have half of it be AI. If they're gonna do AI this much, they gonna go all the way
@LHP64D In isolation it seems fine. Has a team of artists and pays them which is great and props to him
Issue lies in the big picture of normalizing unethical tech. Today, seems chill no issue. But as it gets more normalized, by the time ppl realize it's a problem, it's already too late

@Pumpkin_Biker@h8scd Very likely not. You'd have to create and model an entire character in a maid outfit then animate, then roto.
Most anime does pose to pose. Animator def just did straight ahead hyper focussing on bouncy motion
@Decisive362933@naturecalls111 If you want to be a top pro player, maybe some kind of affinity or extra drive or talent may be needed. But getting to a decently high level should be very achievable without any talent as long as you're learning and practicing the correct things
@Decisive362933@naturecalls111 Think about video games. A thing most people like doing. Everyone knows a guy who played for years and never improved or very little. While there may be some factors of talent or affinity, The main factor is usually because they get comfortable, learn the wrong and bad habits
