On January 31, 2024, Davelle Heath Jr. was wrongly convicted of attempted murder. Davelle maintains his innocence. The incident, which took place in Youngstown, Ohio on March 21, 2022, pertains to a woman who accused Davelle of shooting her. In spite of her claim, Davelle has four solid alibis. He spent the entire evening with his family at Westside Bowling until 9:30 pm, then returned to his family’s home for the night.
All four individuals testified to his whereabouts. There was no physical evidence presented during the trial, such as a gun, bullet casings, fingerprints, witnesses, or DNA, to support the accuser’s claim. Detectives admitted to not having any physical evidence; nor did the detectives did not look for any other suspects.
Despite many discrepancies and the absence of concrete evidence, Davelle Heath Jr. has been denied bond and is currently awaiting sentencing in Mahoning County Jail.
