I am at a conference in Detroit where the Michigan Department of Transportation is sharing its EV vision and projects in the works. Currently ranked 16th in the US for EV adoption, the state is serious about improving the ranking. Can they beat CA within this decade?
Car Insurance companies - "Oh, these electric cars are hardly incurring any maintenance costs or damage. EV drivers are also very safe with no road rage. Let's bump up our already ridiculous premium by another 20% during the renewal because we can."
LG Energy Solutions is expanding big time in the US thanks to sensible tax breaks from the Biden administration. Meanwhile, in the UK the government is still talking and dreaming about coal mines with people calling solar and wind farms "eye sores".
It is crazy that such dangerous fuel is carried over in the neighborhoods in pipelines that could easily leak or break. Surely there must be far safer energy sources and storage out there to power our vehicles and homes?
"Vehicle tax reminder. It is your responsibility to renew your vehicle tax even if it is zero". How to make every #EV owner do pointless work and keep the DVLA and the whole country busy with no real economic benefits.
