🐝Aamoo meaning bee!
🌸There are many ways we can say miigwech to the bees. Such as planting native flowers and leaving stocks of dead plants for them to make their homes.
Last week the children learned about the 3 sisters garden🌽, the life cycles of the memengwaa🦋, and shkode building🔥 along with many other outdoor and Indigenous related teachings.
Chi-miigwech to all the children and all the TRACKS staff who make camp great!
Who's that?
Adults are on the wing from mid-June to mid-July, which is when this moth was spotted.
This moth is part of the Phachysphnx Genus. The larvae of the moth love to feed on poplar, willow and cottonwood species.
Anyone know who this is? This amphibian was spotted by the TRACKS team in Minden Ontario- traditional territory of the Michi Saagiig and Chippewa Nations.
Do you think it's a frog (omagakii) or a toad (obiigomakakii)?
