Thank you everyone for the over 2 million views yesterday as we dispelled the rumors and told the truth about Taylor Swift and her trip from Japan(HND-LAX) to Los Angeles on her way to today‘s Super Bowl. This morning there are new rumors about Taylor’s Super Bowl trip and once again it involves aviation.
The newest rumor, mostly emanating from the MAGA disinformation machine, is that President Biden sent military jets to escort Swift across the Pacific from Japan. And will have military jets guarding the airspace around the Super Bowl in Las Vegas. As with many MAGA conspiracies, there is a little truth and a lot of
exaggeration.
President Biden did not give Taylor Swift a military “escort” across the pacific. This rumor usually states that F-15/16‘s flew beside her plane for the 10+ hour trip across. Ridiculous. In order for that to happen a major military operation would have been necessary. Military fighter jets do not have the range to make a trip like this without multiple refueling. That would mean a bunch of tanker aircraft to refuel or repositioned aircraft carriers to make the trip possible. Ridiculous to claim this took place.
The next MAGA rumor is that President Biden ordered the airspace around the Super Bowl closed in order to protect Taylor Swift. Party true. But it has nothing to do with Taylor Swift. Or President Biden. There is a TFR or Temporary Flight Restriction surrounding Allegiant stadium today. No aircraft can fly over or near the stadium. But this is standard for a major event like the Super Bowl. And it did not take an order from President Biden. Only from the FAA.
The Taylor Swift/President Biden haters are working overtime to try and ruin the Super Bowl for everyone with wild rumors and accusations. But it will not work. Taylor Swift will be at the Super Bowl to cheer for Travis Kelce and the Chiefs. And every time the camera focuses on Swift. More and more MAGA’s will continue to melt down. And that will make watching the Super Bowl even more fun that usual. Even for people who don’t usually watch football or Taylor Swift. Enjoy the game Taylor.

@CBCOntarioToday the police academy needs to be teaching students how to be community builders and leaders and not just how to arrest people. Policing is no longer just about law enforcement. Students need to learn how to PROTECT and SERVE all people

@CBCOntarioToday police don’t need post secondary if the Police Academy is teaching the fundamentals of policing & anti racism, diversity and community engagement training. Most importantly applicants need to do an aptitude test!
