We have set up a demonstration for @NSA_Scotland Scotsheep 2024 at Aikengall, East Lothian, to look at the benefits of direct reseeding into a burnt off silage sward and rejuvenating into an existing sward.
We have established these plots on 24th & 26th August with 3 of the most popular disc drills on the market; Moore Unidrill, Erth Agriseeder & Vredo Agri Twin.
We will be looking at the establishment & management of these plots including red & white clovers in the coming months as well as looking at the soil carbon levels underneath these managed swards against the existing sward.
