Today is a landmark day. The RFU have launched a new anti-sexism policy to tackle sexism and misogyny in English rugby. The RFU becomes the first governing body to launch this policy. It is a huge step in the right direction in making sure women and girls are able to thrive in a sport they enjoy.
You can read my full Telegraph column on this and why this policy is much needed in the link below.👇

🚨🗣Jose Manuel Lopez speaking on why he was the only Argentina player watching Spain lift the world cup:
"Even if I get expelled from the national team, I have no regret for turning around to watch Spain lift the world cup"
"When we went to receive our medals, the Spanish team line up to applaud us"
"Even my captain Lionel Messi also turn his back, in that moment everything is believe in crumble"
"If I turn my back, I don't deserve to be call a footballer"

😡😡😡 Trump is furious — and having a major meltdown — that FIFA, Spain, and every sports news network edited him out of his humiliating photobomb of the World Cup trophy celebration before posting them online. Voila!
🤷♂️ “I Don’t Care”— Ricky Gervais on People Being Easily Offended
In a recent chat with Romesh Ranganathan on BBC Radio 2, Ricky Gervais delivered his signature no-nonsense take on offense culture, cancel culture, and why he’s done entertaining it.
Gervais made it crystal clear: he doesn’t tell people not to be offended, he simply doesn’t care if they are. Here’s what he had to say:
“I don’t tell people not to be offended, I tell them I don’t care if they are. Be offended if you want. It makes it funnier for me.”
“You can’t help what you’re offended by, but don’t expect me to care, is what I say.”
“It’s a myth that I go out to offend. I never go out to offend. I just know that it’s probably gonna happen because everyone’s different.”
“There’s nothing you can say, particularly anything that’s mildly interesting, or contentious, or your viewpoint that someone, somewhere won’t find offensive.”
“And times have changed. Twenty years ago, if someone said ‘I was offended by that,’ I probably would go, ‘Why?’ Now I go, ‘Yeah, I know you are. Everyone is.’”
“I’ve dealt with it too much, actually. I think the last couple of tours, I have dealt with cancel culture and free speech, because I felt I had to. Now I don’t have to anymore.”
“Now I’m ignoring it all. I shouldn’t even bring it into the room.”
“Those people there who have paid hundreds of pounds, they’re not offended. I can play to a million people, not one complaint. As soon as it goes on Netflix, 50 million people… of course there’s going to be someone who doesn’t like it! It’s too late. I’ve been paid.”
Spot on, Ricky.
In a world where people seem offended by everything, Gervais reminds us there’s no point bending over backwards trying to please everyone. Focus on the audience that shows up, laughs, and actually wants to hear what you have to say. The rest? They can be offended, he simply doesn’t care.
And honestly? Neither should we.
The fact Argentina’s coaches had to shield the referee from their own players is a total disgrace.
There should be repercussions from World Rugby.
Unprecedented.
I have no problem with Islam. I am just against beheadings, stoning, marrying little girls, sexual slavery, taqiyya, slave trading, rape, jihad, burqas, child abuse, women abuse, animal abuse, multiple wives, murder, Sharia, terrorism, brainwashing, . Does that make me Islamophobic?
Arthur Conan Doyle, creator of Sherlock Holmes, once traveled to Switzerland. When he arrived, he took a taxi and the driver told him he wouldn't charge him if he autographed a book.
Conan Doyle, surprised, asked the taxi driver how he knew he was a writer, and the taxi driver replied: "Easy, your shoes are covered in dust that isn't from here. From the pattern of your shoes, I see that they are English shoes. So it's English dust. You have an ink stain on your toes, so you are a writer, a British writer."
Shocked, Conan Doyle replied: "You are smarter than Sherlock Holmes."
"Yes sir, and your suitcases clearly have Arthur Conan Doyle written on them."
TRUE LIES turns 32 today.
Jamie Lee Curtis was so nervous about filming the iconic hotel dance that she asked James Cameron to clear the set. The scene became one of the film’s most memorable moments and helped earn her a Golden Globe for Best Actress.
Martin Sheen’s cameo in
HOT SHOTS! PART DEUX (1993)
is one of the best meta-jokes of the era.
Watching him and Charlie Sheen pass each other on the river while referencing a certain film his Dad starred in and nearly died making is comedy gold.
