Freedom. Money. Time. No one to answer to. No one draining your energy. The internet rewards this take because it sells well to young men who still think life is a series of vacations.
Then you turn 50.
The energy is gone. Your body doesn't bounce back the way it used to. Your friends who had kids are busy with their own lives. The women who said they didn't want kids either changed their minds or aged out of the option.
You have money. You have experiences. You have no one who is actually yours.
