@cmkusher Most people consider low population density to be a luxury. Therefore high population objectively worse.
Also why every poll ever taken shows โBig Australiaโ is a deeply unpopular idea.
Only people that like the idea is the tax office.
@AvidCommentator Makes sense, they are economically disadvantaged by mass migration (they squarely fit into the renter/wage earner category).
Mass migration negatively affects recent arrivals (more competition for jobs and housing - they are economically better off with no migration)
@AvidCommentator For many demographics it objectively is a net negative. Especially young people (lower wages, higher housing costs).
Itโs not about the past, itโs about this moment in time, and in this moment in time, we have mass scale migration which is negatively effecting young Australians.
@DrCameronMurray Doesn't Sydney have the highest house price to income in the world after hong kong?
How do you square that neatly into your world view?
Or are you joking and I have missed the joke?
@DrCameronMurray ๐ฏ
Migrants arenโt the problem, mass migration is the problem. The economic effects a ginormous. Lower wages, higher housing costs, leading to a birth rate well well below replacement.
Leading to extinction of the existing population. As is currently happening.
@mcuban Government wonโt stop at โnot a lotโ they will increase as much as they possibly can. Then it will too expensive to use. But the government will be tax exempt, and then the government will have a monopoly on AI. Which isnโt what we want.
@JasonBud Excellent that you are releasing it - why did it take so long?
You can literally get an agent harness for free (opencode) and it is provider agnostic.
Also did you use opencode as a base to build it off?
What is different about GB?
@pmarca Yeah but your generation also has sorta lead the charge for things like a man can be a woman and all that. So you didnโt exactly turn out normal.
@waitbutwhy In no way is blue the correct answer. There is no moral high round to pressing blue. Blue is the button for people that didnโt think about the question.
