We don't allow suspected terrorists to reside in our country.
President Trump and Secretary Rubio took swift action to revoke Ms. Mohammed's visa and ensure she is no longer in the United States.
In her latest sciolistic letter to me, @SenWarren made it clear that she knows even less about foreign exchange markets than she does about banking.
What is equally shocking, but not surprising: not a single member of the media mob has a rudimentary-enough level of financial market literacy to spot her remedial error.
To reiterate: under @POTUS, the United States delivers for America’s trusted partners.
For a fuller explanation, I recommend Senator Warren take any entry level course in international finance for her and her staff, or I can personally give her a tutorial on Foreign Exchange for Dummies. Although I am not holding my breath, I hope her next letter will demonstrate that she has learned the difference between a currency purchase and a swap or a loan.
So many “progressives” don’t seem to care about labor. See it with china-related policy too with the arguments to let in PRC automakers, with no concern for what it would do to the unions. Very strange place for parts of the Democratic Party to have ended up
@mercoglianos Don’t need the Chinese to build them for sure. But wow do we need to build something at this point. I mean I’ll take a rowboat with a VLS setup now my expectations are so low
I'm stunned by how everyone is ignoring just how outrageously gentle Bill Gates is to China in his essay about the risks AI poses.
In his nearly 6,000 word essay, he only mentions China three times, and only positively:
"Some cooperation between the U.S. and China will be required."
"Many Americans I talk to don’t realize how fast dexterous robots are advancing because much of the advanced work is being done in other countries, primarily China."
"Countries including Australia, the United Kingdom, and Norway are adopting protections for children online. China has gone the furthest. Its rules restrict AI companion apps broadly, bar designs that foster emotional dependence, and ban virtual relatives and romantic partners for minors."
How can one write a thoughtful thorough essay on the risks posed by AI, talk about the risks posed by American AI, and not even raise the idea that Chinese AI companies -- not to mention the Chinese Communist Party -- may pose risks as well? It's such a huge and problematic blindspot. In 2023, when Gates visited China, he met with Xi Jinping, who called him an "old friend." Essays like these are the reason why Xi and Gates stay "friends."
Anthropic: “The open source ecosystem is making all of our subscriptions a lot harder to keep what do we do?!”
Nvidia: “Don’t worry guys I’ll just buy it, with the money I have on paper from you buying the chips I haven’t built yet”
@Oilfield_Rando So flock cameras don’t actually help anything except for targeted surveillance? “We just need more cameras in more places to really help solve these problems bro. Trust us bro”
