@KashRamki If they were to take on the full 1GW on entirely at once, would we assume NUAI would still take on 40-50% of the entire project? This would also require a good amount more capital from NUAI faster than anticipated correct?
@nanotitan28@HappoVaari I'm pretty sure phase 1 200MW is supposed to be "BTM" in the sense that they connect directly to vistra to bypass ERCOT grid, with the turbines coming for phase 2
@xandolaz@KashRamki Clearing all the shitty mesquite bushes and brush so it's all workable land, then they can begin compacting the dirt down/trenching for utilities etc
@dandelion12234@Onedayyourise Yeah I totally agree on the last point, but it would make for an awesome week next week :P Even with that said I think there's merit to the points above before that, especially seeing they hired the CCO AFTER the closed door session
Looks like on 4/14 the OCC held a closed door session for economic development negotiations, the next day $NUAI spiked 20% for no real reason, perhaps some information leaked on how the discussions went? The next public session should be 4/28 with agenda posting this Friday.
@FahadThoughts97@Onedayyourise Very true that it's been hinted at, I just meant the timing as far as IF the public vote is the 28th, approved that day, contract signed and then announced during Microsoft's earnings the next day would be pretty sweet
@archahood Maybe not necessarily directly influenced who the hire was, but just influenced the timing of the hiring, if the closed door talks didn't seem to go well and delays seemed certain, why officially bring new staff on board right after?
$NUAI looking further into the OCC meeting breadcrumbs on 4/14, if we look at the 8-K filed for the new CCO hired, you can see he was brought on 4/14, most likely after seeing how the closed door tax talks went. Really hope next week's agenda will have something for us.
@Onedayyourise If you want to feed the hype machine one level further, Microsoft's earnings call is on the 29th of this month, that's my personal guess on the tenant, but that lining up of things seems too good to be true, but I want to believe!
@Htown7676367222@JoshInvestsAI I haven't been able to find anything on that personally, but with the Odessa development videos referencing "project blizzard king", Microsoft owns Blizzard, and also King games so I'm going with them
@ThePrudentWhale Ah yes good stuff!
What are your thoughts on the special shareholder meeting that's still happening? If they paid SharonAI off we shouldn't really need to have a call/vote anymore right?
@Thebullwhisper Thoughts on Macquarie basically forcing the raise to clear the senior note before they'd agree to give financing? If I were giving out $290M I'd want that note gone before inking the deal
Additionally, quite a few DC job postings up in Odessa
@DaGrun22@KashRamki My theory is the bank wouldn't give them the loan with an active senior note with Sharon potentially there to muddy the waters, which is why the loan and dilution got announced basically back to back, clear the senior note and the loan holder doesn't have to worry about Sharon
@KashRamki Gotcha,
The pricing of the dilution was a bit disappointing, but I agree with your thoughts that management (and also Macquarie) must be perfectly comfortable with what's coming, I'm curious what the extra money is being raised for, feels like it is needed soon
@GyujinAAIG@JoshInvestsAI I was under the impression phase 1 power would be coming from the nat gas turbines they have been planning with Project ATOM and the interconnect would come in a later phase?
@midlevelcruiser@Miki42691076 I definitely agree that's why Ted is coming on, I'm preparing myself for some dilution here, if they do I think it'll be a little bit above the $10M but still think it will be short term pain, possibly a nice dip to load up a bit more
