Democrats are shutting down the government and causing major TSA delays because they want to pass strict federal laws that SEVERLY restrict ICE.

I read their demands and themost insane one (among many) would turn pretty much every populous area into a sanctuary zone.

They want 1,000 foot “no go zones.” That means ICE would be prohibited from enforcing immigration law within a 1,000 foot radius of certain “sensitive locations.”

To put this into perspective, a typical city block is around 300 feet. So a 1,000 foot radius stretches roughly three blocks in every direction. Now imagine multiple locations like this close together in a city..

Now consider the list of “sensitive locations:”

Anywhere that is considered educational which includes: preschools, all k-12 schools, all colleges and universities, every childcare center, tutoring centers etc

All healthcare facilities including hospitals, emergency rooms, urgent care centers, doctor offices, dentists, nursing homes etc

All religious locations including churches, mosques, synagogues, religious ceremonies like weddings, funerals, baptisms, and memorial services.

Places where children gather like playgrounds, parks, rec centers, gyms, boys snd girls clubs etcs.

All social services locations including foodbanks, nonprofit providers etc

All civic locations, government buildings etc

All courthouses

All public gatherings like protests, marches, and parades.

All labor organizing locations like union meetings and buildings

When you look at how many of these places exist in every neighborhood, it is clear how quickly those 1,000 foot zones could overlap and turn every major and minor city into sanctuary cities where ICE can’t make arrests, or do anything to enforce our immigration laws! This would severly hinder most, if not all, immigration enforcement in its tracks indefinitely with FEDERAL LAW. This is INSANE! These democrats are TRAITORS to the American people!
