Official Twitter feed for the British Society of Interventional Radiology Trainees (BSIRT) | Open to radiology trainees, med students and all resident doctors
One week to go until the BSIR Registrar Study Day 2026.
Registrations are still open for the BSIR Registrar Study Day, taking place virtually via Microsoft Teams on Thursday 11th June, 09:00 to 17:00.
Following the success of last year’s event, which welcomed over 70 delegates, this year’s programme will focus on non-vascular and oncological interventions, with content designed for ST4 to ST6 trainees and early-career consultants.
The day will complement the EBIR curriculum and cover areas where trainees may have limited exposure, including:
→ complex biliary interventions
→ urinary and GI interventions
→ oncological ablation and embolisation
→ vertebral interventions
→ preparation for consultant posts
All sessions will be delivered by an experienced faculty using a case-based teaching format throughout.

Innovation and Industry meets IR Education!
Research shows that while many radiology trainees want exposure to the medical device industry, geographical and logistical barriers often stand in the way.
We are changing that.

The Programme Includes:
✅ Comprehensive online learning: Modules covering the full medical device lifecycle, from R&D and regulatory affairs to commercial strategy and entrepreneurship.
✅ Immersive experience: Fully funded corporate sponsor visits and manufacturing site tours across Europe.
✅ Career growth: Mentorship to build professional networks and understand the healthcare-industry ecosystem.
This is your chance to gain a fully funded executive education on how industry shapes the devices we use everyday and empower you to become a future leader in the field whilst minimising time commitments to ensure your clinical training is not affected.
📍 Eligibility: Open to radiology trainees at all levels or post-CCT fellows.
