Hello everyone! Sarah has now moved on from her training role into an exciting new position as Development Manager, and has handed the reins for this Twitter account over to me! So let me introduce myself: I'm Annis, the new training & consultancy coordinator for re:shape :)
Hello Twitter. I'm both happy and sad to say that today is my last day as training and development coordinator at re:shape. Due to our funding situation, we aren't able to continue our training provision past the end of the year, so it's on to pastures news for me now.
In the meantime, all I can say is a big thankyou to everyone who has made my year at re:shape so special, rewarding, educational, and enjoyable - my colleagues, training delegates, and all the other orgs I've worked with during my time here. Thank you all for everything!
If you're interested in receiving training in working with people who cause sexual harm, get in touch with my amazing manager Sarah @NYHUB_Reshape - she'll be able to point you in the right direction for support and education for your team.
Tears, laughter. Crying smiling. We were together, we were united by a cause. We were passionate and empathic. We felt pain and moments of joy. We learned about support. People caring. Sharing experiences. Making #york a #suicidesafer City #WorldSuicidePreventionDay

Hi Twitter! I've unexpectedly found myself in #Leeds with a free afternoon ahead of me. Is anyone around who'd like to talk about training, #preventsexualharm, health & social care, community support & community action, rehabilitation or similar? It'd be great to chat!
Really important article on staff sexual misconduct in universities by @t_haismanpage @anna_bull_ @DrEOChapman - great to see intertwining of activism and academic endeavour:

Hearing from Evie and Sam now about the amazing work of @IDASfor100 thank you for stepping in last minute and being involved in today’s event #preventsexualharm@reshapeOrg
It’s amazing how a convo in a room full of amazing professionals snowballs, an interesting discussion about children & healthy sexual behaviours, discussions about when to intervene as a parent and the labelling and stigma around this child when involved in statutory services.
Looking forward to meeting the @CityofYork Suicide Prevention Lead Officer at today's Connected Communities event with @reshapeOrg@YorkStJohn@ChangingLives__ taking place at @UniOfYork 👍 Feel free to ask us for one of our brand new mental health anti-stigma coasters 👍
This Connected Communities knowledge sharing event from @NYHUB_Reshape is absolutely fab. Next up we've got @natnoret from @YSJRespect talking us through her work about sexual harassment on campus #preventsexualharm
"We're in this together - no silo working!" Andy Chapman, suicide prevention lead for North Yorkshire, delivering an informative, emotional presentation for @NYHUB_Reshape Connected Communities members today.
Statistics this year show us there were 57,882 rape cases reported to police but a charge/summons in only 886 of them.
886 thats just 1.5%
For the academics and lawyers that say there is no problem with how rape cases progress through the CJS please explain these figures!
What a lovely lunchtime spent with my wonderful old colleagues at @PartnersYork and @ubd_studio, enjoying a cuppa and a cake to help beat loneliness this #YorkshireDay! (Ironically this pic makes it look like I was on my own - oops!)
We're super excited to have a new series of blogs coming up on the re:shape website, which bust some myths, examine the stats, and look at how we can all help #PreventSexualHarm.
First up: is the media portrayal of sex offenders anywhere near the truth?

Wow, last week was a busy one! Full day of #PreventSexualHarm training for @East_Riding; an evening session for @OfSamaritans in Scarborough; a bunch of meetings and events in Bradford; and an unexpected emergency trip to the vet with the cat. Phew! Quieter one this week maybe?
