In case you missed it, here's my response to Kemi Badenoch's interview this morning with Ed James on BBC Radio WM. I will post links to the full programme tomorrow when it's on catch up.
Again nerve-wracking to be asked to comment as a member of the People's Panel in the run to to local elections, but so grateful to have had the chance.
Younger me would have been proud, I have always been interested in local issues and making a difference in the community. Those who know me know that I love to have a good natter about how we can make a difference in society.
I never for one minute imagined I would be part of the People's Panel on Radio WM many years later as a 46-year old mum-of-5 children of my own. Especially given that three short years ago I was unemployed, using the food bank and felt like nobody would be particularly interested in what I had to say.
It was amazing to be invited to provide comment on Ed Davey and Zack Polanski's interviews with @edjames_ on BBC Radio WM yesterday.
Listen in and see what you think!
What are your thoughts about what Ed Davey and Zack Polanski had to say? What matters most to you locally? How do you decide where to put your 'X'?
I have attached a recording of the section (apols it's phone to phone as my screen record has packed up)
Alternatively you can listen to the full programme from yesterday here

Zack Polanski from around 0:50
Ed Davey from around 1:50
(my section is from 2:15 onwards).
It's Nigel Farage today at 10:50am
Kemi Badenoch tomorrow at 10:50am (hopefully I will be back on to comment)
A representative from Labour on Friday 10:50am
BBC Birmingham doing great things with election coverage, listen in to Radio WM & make sure you don't miss out.

It was a pleasure to attend the launch of The Brum Biosphere at The Botanical Gardens yesterday and to have the opportunity to hear about the great work going on across our city connecting community action, green spaces and local organisations.
The @Team4Nature Brum Biosphere encourages us to consider our connection to nature and how we can work together as communities to support and protect biodiversity and our green spaces.
From a health, well-being, quality of life and sustainability perspective it is vital that we engage with the natural world and maintain our beautiful green spaces. Human health and environmental health are connected.
"It’s quite simple, the more birds that sing and butterflies that dance across Birmingham the healthier our city becomes, allowing us all to thrive!" https://t.co/15as9BHlv8
It was wonderful to hear about the amazing projects going and to have the opportunity to meet others.
Thank you Chris Millward and to everyone who contributed.
Delicious food from ChangeKitchen CIC as well ✨.
