The whole “nobody wants to work anymore” line is so tired.

It’s not that people don’t want to work.

They just don’t want to:

• Spend 10+ hours a day away from home for a paycheck that barely covers rent
• Sit in traffic longer than they see their kids
• Be on call 24/7 for a company that would replace them in a week
• Get praised as “family” and laid off by email
• Do 50 hours of labor for 40 hours of pay and zero security

People aren’t allergic to effort.
Fix the system. Not the workers.

To the transphobes and TERFs who say, “We can always tell.”

No, you always assume. You’ve trained your eyes to scan strangers for “evidence” of your ideology, and then you call that feminism. That’s not discernment; it’s surveillance. Bias isn’t vision, and prejudice is not a sixth sense.

Let’s be real about what “always tell” really means: you’ve made a hobby out of body-policing. You stare, catalog, compare, and then congratulate yourself for guessing. Even if your guess were right sometimes, so what? People’s dignity and safety don’t hinge on whether your eyeballs feel satisfied. No one owes you legibility in public.

“Always” is doing a lot of work for a crowd that regularly misgenders sis women, intersex people, nonbinary folks, and anyone who doesn’t fit your template. Your method produces collateral damage you refuse to own. You don’t protect women, you punish nonconformity and call it protection. That’s not feminist; it’s patriarchal gatekeeping in a pink hat.

If you could truly “always tell,” you wouldn’t need bathroom bills, ID checks, sports bans, or harassment campaigns. The fact that you keep reaching for state power to enforce your discomfort tells on you. You’re not Sherlock Holmes; you’re a hall monitor for patriarchy with clipboards out, measuring noses and jawlines like it’s phrenology for the 21st century.

Here’s the quiet part you say out loud: you want the right to humiliate strangers. You want people to live under your gaze and ask permission to exist. That’s not ethics; that’s control. And when your “skill” spills onto a sis woman with short hair, a tall girl, a trans man, a teen finding their style, you shrug and move on. The harm is the point.

Trans people don’t exist to pass your vibe check. We’re not auditioning for your approval, your bathroom pass, or your “gotcha.” Our rights are not conditional on your guesses. Your fixation is not our problem until you try to make it policy. Then it’s everyone’s problem.

So here’s my two cents: mind your business. Stop scanning strangers like you’re customs at the border of gender. Touch grass. Read a book that isn’t a subreddit. And if your politics require you to surveil, shame, and endanger people in public spaces, your politics are broken, full stop.
