On top of the nonprofit work culture is horrendous. It's the top to bottom bull crap, lack of transparency, lack of opportunities, and lack of support to the people doing the majority of the work to run these state organizations.

Work has been filled with a lot of ups and downs in such a short amount of time which has been very stressful. I am most happiest when I get to help our rescue animals find their companions and when I get to spend quality time with them while they wait patiently.

Unfortunately, working with the public is a another story. I see so much irresponsible behavior and entitlement it's mind-blowing. So many people act as if animals are accessories. It's scary but we do all we can to make sure people are excellent and responsible pet owners.
